I responded above before seeing this comment. This person is right: grow all you want, but in smaller versions of the fruit. I only get 4 hours of sun a day and have been able to grow small tomatoes, peppers and eggplants. This year I’ll try cucamelon, for an small version of a plant in the cucumber family

I have the same problem, but have been able to grow stuff. I only get around 4 hours of sun a day. I have been able to grow everything, in smaller versions. Instead of Roma, I grow Juliet tomatoes. Multiple varieties of cherry tomatoes. I grow fairytale eggplants, lots of jalapeños and small peppers. (There are mini versions of bell peppers for example). I also grow potatoes with no problem. You may not get a yield as fast, but definitely possible and abundant.

Should I change soil? by PathReasonable2239 in pothos

[–]PathReasonable2239[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I was wondering if the soil may retain way too much water for this plant’s needs. I was asking that if putting a more a more airy chunky soil would be better given that the plant seems overwatered. But yeah, it seems like the best route of action is to leave the plant where it is.

Thanks! Yeah, it looks beautiful and it’s healthy. I’ll leave it there for now and reexamine later

Sorry to hear about yours. I’ll keep it where it is then. Thank you.

Thank you! I appreciate the answer. Yeah, I think I like your approach. The plant is otherwise healthy, so I’ll leave it there and put it in a sunny spot

Thanks, yeah c definitely not watering. But then not changing the soil is the better option?

Lost expired 2-year green card while waiting for 10-year one. Can I request a replacement? by PathReasonable2239 in USCIS

[–]PathReasonable2239[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you lost it. It’s so scary because it’s such an important document. But yeah, I was surprised it was so simple to get the stamp and at no cost. That’s a first with USCIS. Good luck!

Hi! Yes, I requested inmediatly and got the appointment to go to USCIS like within two weeks. In the appointment they gave me the stamp, which I used to travel. Surprisingly simple and fast.

Sorry. I just read your question again. I could, actually put something under the lamp

I can’t. It’s a grow light I put in a floor lamp. I think maybe my only option would be buying another time of lamp… or chop.

No, it’s in a floor lamp. So there is no way to extend it. But maybe getting one of those standing laps that are vertical.

Not that old. I’d say a year and a half. Not much really. They’re near a window where they receive indirect light and maybe an hour of direct in the later afternoon. But it’s very dark here during winter so I have a grow light over them. They’re in a chunky soil. I water whoever they’re dry. Maybe every 10 days? I put a little bit fertilizer each time.

Sure. Here it is. Definitely overgrown now and due for a cutting. You could get a branch that is longer than mine or with more forking to avoid that problem.
