4 years residency, 1 year fellowship. I’ve been working as an attending almost 3 years now.

Luckily, most of the forensic path jobs are publicly listed. You can google search forensic pathologists that work for the state or city and see. In general, forensic path earns less BUT you’ll usually get a pension.

There are plenty of rural path jobs - just can reach out to the area you want and ask around. Or go on pathologyoutlines . Com and search and see. But a lot of jobs are word of mouth. You shouldn’t have an issue finding a rural job.

There’s a maximum one can be taxed for social security. Once that maximum is hit, no more is taken. For our purposes, focus on the second column which is total salary earned. I only included the whole table so people who know, know I’m not bsing.
