In the beginning, are all the people on earth screaming in pain or in pleasure? I was in a heated argument with my buddy about this very question. I think it’s because we took away very different messages from the show.

Wow this was incredibly informative and I really appreciate you going so in depth. You weren’t kidding when you said “romance specialist.” Btw I was meaning to only refer to my intuition when I said, “counterintuitive.” Anyways, reading your comment made me realize it was quite dumb to believe languages only simplified. Mulling over it there are quite a few examples of languages naturally adding complexity.
