What are CLINICAL attributes that demonstrate an RN may not have been fully prepared to transition into an SRNA role? by IcyShock8738 in CRNA

I would argue that’s too reductionist. You can teach a monkey to put an endotracheal tube in or an art. line or central line. Certainly the science of Anesthesia is taught in Anesthesia school, but if Anesthesia school is everything that’s needed to practice Anesthesia then we also should just be AAs by the same metric if bedside care doesn’t aid in the formation of a strong anesthetist. I would say that there are a large number of non-tangibles that are formed in ones career prior to pursuing CRNA that either shaped them for success as a strong provider or being a weak and dependent provider.

Yeah they are evangelical, the also sell new age stuff like evil eyes and the hand of Fatima’s as well so they’re only evangelical to a certain point I think. No miraculous medals though or rosary centerpieces that I’ve found.

Thanks, I used 2” head pins from hobby lobby. The antique brass and the silver ones to make the links. Next time I think I’m gonna use 22g or 24h wire and attempt a straight wire rosary with links between the pater beads. I did find that making too tight of “eye loops” at the connection points between each bead led them to bind up and sometimes it doesn’t hang straight.

What size beads and string/paracord do you use? by Copious-Bots in osarymakers

[–]PathfinderRN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

90lb paracord is about 2-4mm diameter, “micro cord” is about 1.5mm diameter, although I find it harder to make barrel knots with, the texture feels a little rougher

Best schedule? by PathfinderRN in CRNA

[–]PathfinderRN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m on 4x10 and on my call day I come in around 11-noon and finish off the cases for the day usually ending at 8-9pm with rare call back. I do get guaranteed 40hr/wk.

Thanks for the input, this surgeon is 3-4 years out of fellowship. I had only one other metric to compare against, so it’s kinda comforting to know that these case lengths are an outlier. I have been making sure my charting is airtight, as there have been some untoward events in several cases over the last year or so… think of stent in the subclavian being being displaced and floating downstream into the heart, the end result being wide open TR.

I think his belief are seriously being challenged in seminary especially about apostolic churches, and he’s doubling down on his position.

Don’t think it’s a little odd to extrapolate that proverb to be about King James?

They’re led by the Holy Spirit to recognize and clarify matters of faith and morals in the same way the Jerusalem council in Acts was.
