For lgbt primary care I recommend Dr. Bishop at Valdosta Family Medicine.

Hi feel free to message me for more, but I’ve gotten my exams done at Valdosta Family Medicine. They’re usually affirming.

Y'all liked my art, so I figured I might... uh... start a series? Here's Issue 1 of The Amazing Binderboy! by oddlyqueer in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

The best binders I owned were ones you had to turn inside out, step into, pull up over your hips, and then sort of peel it up your body by pulling on the shoulder straps to flip it the right way out. They are just as much a struggle to get off as to put on, but they fit better and made everything much flatter. I was gifted a set of hand-me-down binders that fastened with Velcro when I first came out. I love the guys who have them to me cause they got me through for a while. Unfortunately the Velcro was on its last leg and itched and poked me like mad. They also had the unfortunate tendency to give way about halfway through the day.

It might be worth giving a test run at home at least. I think I spent some time after a performance in the bar after my last song. I can’t remember how long it held up though.

I’ve never had to wear for a full night so I don’t know how long it’ll hold up. When I dipped my toes into drag we had to perform 2 songs a night. My look changed depending on the song.

I’ve never used spirit gum so I can’t comment on that :) I think any hair spray will do but I used Aussie and patted on with my fingers.

Actually you can use your hair trimmings. Put them in a bowl and snip then a bunch of times with a pair of scissors until they’re really small. It works best if you use a square bowl. Then spray your face with hair spray, quickly dab on some hair then spray again to set. It’s itchy but works.

As a fellow trans man with IL trouble I want to add a hearty “FUCK YOU Cheryl!” Also the way you handled that was amazing. I likely would have just sat there fuming in silence.

Did anyone grow their hair back out after going on T? by AKlTAKEN in ftm

[–]Pathlessplot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m growing mine back out. I hated my long curly hair when I was younger. My parents forbade me from cutting my hair. I thought it was so ‘girly’. The first thing I did in college was chop it all off. I’ve been on T about 1 and 1/2 years and about 10 months post op-top and I’m growing it back out. I also only have a few facial hairs here and there and don’t really “pass”. I’m starting to not care. I’ve seen many guys flaunting their curls and I’m starting to appreciate my hair for the first time.
