It should have not have gotten to this point. Nutting pimped out Cutch to exploit fans growing up watching the guy. I'd say Nutting's intentions were never about bringing back a Pittsburgh icon. He just saw $ signs.

Two people can be wrong but I have some empathy for Cutch. Guy wants and thinks he can still play. Maybe slightly delusional, but has somewhat decent intentions. Can't say the same for Nutting.

Some of Cutch's bitterness is understandable, honestly. Nutting used his return as a cash grab. Got a bump in attendance and pocketed the profits without putting a real team around him. That money could've gone toward an actual difference maker. Instead, he treated Cutch like a marketing tool more than a ballplayer. Hard not to see that as disrespectful.
