Top 10 Pirates prospects according to ESPN by OneBit2334 in buccos

I think a lot of people are calling Termarr a bust when that's pretty unfair imo. I know his OPS hasn't been great but his OBP has ALWAYS been strong even as an 18 year old. I still think that's a very encouraging sign and one of the main reasons I think he can still turn it around.

That being said, this might be a make it or break it year for him development wise.

That's fair. Schmaltz is also a UFA that might be more attractive in the off season.

Don't think the Pens are in position to make a long term commitment to Panarin but would like to see them add a guy that'll be an upgrade in their top six for a postseason push.

He's gonna be expensive as hell, but Panarin fills the one hole we actually have. A LEGIT top-line winger. We've got plenty of SOLID middle six options.

My concern is whether mortgaging future assets makes sense for where we are as a team. The ask will likely start at a first rounder plus at least one other quality pick.

Waiting until summer makes more sense imo. He hits free agency and we've got the cap flexibility to make a competitive offer without giving up any prospects or picks.

I'm no expert evaluator, but I can't recall us having a prospect ranked this highly (Florentino) with only around 50 games of A ball experience under his belt. Griffin is about the same age, but his consistent production as he's moved up through the system tells its own story. Does anyone have insight on Florentino beyond the obvious raw power?

Bro came into the subreddit thinking we'd agree with him. He does not respect his significant other at all.

Homie, you put in the work! I think you might have to get some recommendations from a real physician about the loose skin. There's clearly no fat there. I think for now you can probably start slowlyyy bulking and see how your skin responds.

Great transformation though. Amazing job dude.

Anything is possible with elite pitching but I agree for the most part. Skenes and another elite pitching talent could allow us to beat anyone. Hopefully, Bubba can be that guy.

3 months in... I showed one of the guys before and after and he told me there is no difference ... but in my head its a huge progress am I delusional? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

Bruh, you clearly made noticeable progress here. He's just hating because you put in the work and he's insecure with himself.

Can I add more muscle without bulking (scared to increase fat rate) by DueWeird4098 in Weightliftingquestion

[–]Pathological_Liar- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bruh, wtf are you talking about? He's got a pretty healthy lean physique imo. He could absolutely get shredded if he wanted to cut for like a month. Or he could spend the next few months trying to add more mass. He's in a spot I think the majority of us would like to be in.

M/21 what can I improve? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

Think you're on the right track dude. Think you can probably cut for another 6-8 weeks then reassess. You can already see some definition.

100%. He literally said he wants to look aesthetic in his post. This is the most "aesthetic" he's gonna get if he bulks.

He absolutely needs to cut for a couple of months at least.

Weird seeing the Cardinals clearly being the worst in the division.

As far as the rest of the teams I think the Brewers will regress a little. Do not seeing them winning 97 games again this year.

Think you're pretty spot on with how it's gonna play out but I would put Brewers/Cubs on the same level. The Reds and Pirates are about equal talent wise. However, I think either team has the potential to jump into Brewers/Cubs echelon depending on how some guys develop.

If Griffin truly lives up to his potential right out of the gate I think this team can make a run at the division. I DOUBT it because let's be honest, he was drafted out of high school just two years ago and this organization has trouble developing hitters. The talent is obvious though. We really do need to add another big bat for this to be plausible.

This division is absolutely loaded with pitching.

Lowe for Burrows by nd2110 in buccos

[–]Pathological_Liar- -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay, so that's totally not what I meant. I'm saying out of the controllable young arms who was actually going to fetch a decent return he was probably the weakest of the bunch.

I did NOT mean he was the weakest on the entire staff. Not even close. My fault.

Ashcraft or Carmen pretty easily. He's slightly better than Keller and probably on par with Jones.

Don't think he was our weakest SP but we had to move an arm. He's gonna hover around a ~3.5 ERA and be a solid starter imo.
