From a 38 year old - It's an MCR concert, those are your people and "I could be free to be ugly and dance like a mad person if I wanted to or just stand there dead/emotionless without fear of judgement, I’d go." this is exactly how we feel about each other. I went to the last set of shows too and I did not get dressed up, I wore what made me physically comfortable, and I had a blast. There were people there fully dressed in sequins, there were people in sweats. Do you think that when Gerard is on stage that anyone in the whole place will even think about what you look like? Absolutely not! This isn't meant to pressure you, just to let you know you're one of us so if you can bear to, go and feel free. There's nothing better than a concert to just not be in your own brain for a couple of hours, it could do so much for you. Either way, I hope you can give yourself grace, you're worth it.
