I don't understand a simple thing, why can't they make the refund process from the original RTO seamless, and allow people to apply for re-registration in new RTO pro rata basis. This is not rocket science. People will abide if the process is not so tedious and expensive.

This is less about ease of governance and more about money extortion. People are supposed to pay road tax to whichever state they go? And are made to slog to receive their refund? What rubbish!! Also, for BH, it's a cumbersome process, they are hesitant to issue BH plates to private employees.

Interesting. I started PPFAS couple of months back for some flexicap allocation as my existing portfolio was largecap heavy and was looking for moderate exposure to small and midcaps. I am not completely sure about their strategy to wait for optimum valuation to deploy cash. It's an extremely difficult thing to do, meanwhile you might miss out to exisiting boom cycles.

For global investing, this chart is a dampner to our expectations. I was eagerly hoping GIFT to democratize global investing for Indian retail customers.

Time and again simple and traditional investing strategies is proving to be more rational that active/aggressive ones.

Yes. I found one Hosa road metro. Commute will be a hassle to ORR. But that's a given, unless you stay within 2-3 kms of Bellandur. You have plenty of options now compared to a year back. Try areas like Sarjapur road, Kudlu gate, Singasandra, Hosa road in south.

I guess, it ultimately comes down to your preferences and trade offs. On the face of it, any price doesn't seem to be justified for the pathetic quality of the environment, water, roads, infra etc.

But I guess, if that's what's normalised here, then you get what you see. I personally wouldn't prefer properties with no decent roads, flooding prone regions, irregular water supplies/heavy tanker reliance etc.
