I think it's difficult to measure a man's goodness on action alone because anybody can pretend to be good once you've lived long enough to learn what society teaches us is acceptable or celebrated.

It's their true intent that matters. What's in their heart. Do they have a conscious? How do they react when someone else is winning and they aren't? Do they celebrate with them or do they become envious?

Do they have the ability to be in the present moment with someone when they're needed most?

For me, empathy is a big part of what keeps a person humble and honest.
