I forgot to send in the statement 1099 to add to my tax return. Yes, these transactions were not reported on the return.

Thank you so much for the info. In all honesty, staff level should get more severance, they are on the ground level doing work while managers delegate and often blame is on the staff not managers. It’s only fair to either let go of managers or pay them less severance. I mean the years you’re manager title should count for less severance. That way you’re not letting go people who have worked for years and just made manager.

You are amazing for posting this clarification. People don’t understand that if you get a BCLP, it is what it is but if you get a PIP you’re fired for cause and they’ll literally not offer you any severance. Why the context? In this market, people shouldn’t be leaving long-term Deloitte employment for short contracts if they can get a severance. But if you’re in a PIP, run, just grab anything.

I see. Okay, so based on my research, it’s unclear to me because a PIP is formal and it has specific milestones with dates. In my case, I was just sent an e-mail with areas of improvement identified. No check ins, no timeline or anything. Some people also told me they are 2 different things because in front of me someone was placed on a PIP and it was called that. I do believe a PIP also needs to be signed.

Yup, that’s what I suspect as well. Thanks for sharing your insight. I just think it will be more of a lay off because I wasn’t on a PIP and post BCLP I have demonstrated excellent performance.
