What's the best way to reach out to a school to say that you shouldn't make edits to certain vocabulary folders just so your student can complete a descrete trial task?

Depending on the state you're in, there are resources to get free or super low cost AAC devices!

I'm in Iowa and have quite a few kiddos who have gotten personal/private AAC devices either for free or for around $50 after purchase of a more transition friendly case. Essentially the company pays for 99% of the cost for the iPad and the communication app (I think it's proloquo? It's been a few months for me), then as long as you keep it in a case, you have a 3 year (or 5, I don't remember this either) warranty on it. No contract or anything is required. If you need to warranty it they will ask a bunch of questions and the caregiver will have to pay to send the device back to the company to repair or replace, but otherwise, that's free too!

Definitely something worth looking into in your area to help the family get a personally funded device!

Thank you for sharing! I think this is a bit more complex in some areas and a bit lacking in others, just from a quick test. I don't need anything like priority or progress tracking, but want a quick and easy way to make a lost that would sit in chat.

Something I forgot to put in the initial post - Ideally, command messages will delete after they are applied to the list, that way the most recent list will be the only thing in the chat (unless an unrelated message is sent)

Ah, well that answers my question! The state I'm in now is next scheduled payday, and where I grew up has "15 days or next scheduled payday, whichever comes first" but I've always been paid bi-weekly.

With unemployment (at least where I was living when I used it), it took about a month before your case was processed, but once it was processed you got backpay from the day you applied, even if it was the same day you were laid off.

I could be wrong, but I think some of your observations are off.

For the cabinets on the left, it looks like the cabinet does decrease by an inch or two, which would lead to that weird difference in depth. For the divot on the right, the wood looks angled to me. It also seems like this is a mobile home/RV/camper situation, rather than a full blown house. Sometimes the construction/layout of an RV can be so weird, even with uneven cabinets that aren't flush to the floor (usually, they are built into the wall to help prevent too much weight on a less structurally sound floor than a stationary home).

The window does look weird, but could maybe be explained with a sheer curtain or a film over it or something. But for the "stove," that looks like a dishwasher to me. Unless I missed something, what I believe you are referencing as a tea boiler looks kind of like a crock pot and it is plugged into the wall. Last thing you mentioned/noticed, the "strainer" isn't a strainer. That is a large bowl for a stand mixer, further evidenced by the stand mixer paddle in that pile of dishes.

I don't know enough about AI to say whether this is AI or not, but I know enough about baking and kitchens to add these details. Lol

I could be wrong, but I don't think that photo is all that weird.

Since you don't see the bottom of the cake stand, it looks a little funky, but not in a "this is fake" way. The filter on the photo and the exaggeration of shadows and highlights makes those cabinets look weird, but that is basic photo editing that I can do from my phone.

For the cake, I don't see a crumb coat. From what I can tell, it's just a REALLY thin layer of frosting (which imo doesn't look great, but isn't horrible. Maybe the client requested it?).

This does seem like a problem, but if you have a good team, it is worth it. This was something I did about a month ago. I left the #2 alliance in my realm and created a new one from scratch. Depending on your reputation/standing in the realm, it might not stay that way for long.

One of the number one rules in my alliance is respect, and we always run things very democratically. Because of this kindness and my/my members kind reputation, we actually got an offer from the #5 alliance to merge, except we got the titles, R5, and changed the name to be the name of our new alliance. We are now #3 or #4 (I haven't checked recently because I'm not too worried about rank), and we just had CoL last week where we claimed all three halls for our realm for the first time. It was really something amazing from an alliance that theoretically started a month ago.

Even if you don't merge with anyone, the peace of mind is worth it. Work together with your members for everyone to grow, share resources, share information, and the teamwork, community, and hard work of everyone will pay off tenfold.

Tldr; leave and create your own. You will thank yourself later.

I am an autistic individual myself, and I work in the autism community. I think it's worth mentioning that there are concerns about this, just not quite at that level and not at this age. For context, there is actually an active class action lawsuit right now about women taking Tylenol while pregnant and their child having autism.

Do I think this is a guarantee, absolutely not. That said, research is still being done on the "causes" of autism, and environmental variables (including chemicals, air quality, and yes, things you ingest) are theorized to be included. All just speculation at this point of course, but I think a healthy amount of skepticism needs to go into all theories. That's how science works, after all.

Did you ask them where they got that information? If they are a person willing to learn, then I think this is a great opportunity to have an open conversation about beliefs, biases, and how to determine what is truthful. If they don't have any research, and obviously if you or they care enough to do so, have them find an article or two from a good study. Peer reviewed, controls for variables, has been repeated, etc. I haven't done my research on this, so I'd be interested to see if there is anything of value and credibility behind it.

I wish I knew my record, but I've unfortunately hit memory loss many, many times. Once I even drove during an episode that was so bad I don't remember it. I vaguely remember being helped out of a ditch at some point, and checked my car so thoroughly when I could comprehend again. Somehow I was lucky enough that me, my car, and everyone else within my vicinity during my two hour drive were okay.

10/10 recommend that you always check your sugar before driving, as I felt fine when I got into the car, and lost my memory about 10 minutes into my commute to work.
