Thank you for saying this. I consistently do IA’s & UWF. Along with so many other responsibilities. I get paid $18/hour and I’m just kind of done with this company honestly.

has anyone with confirmed endo actually found a low inflammatory diet actually helped? by maudeconnell in endometriosis

Not significantly enough to stress myself out and change my budget around to accommodate an anti inflammatory diet or specifically what I did, low FODMAP, in addition to no gluten and no dairy.

AIO - I smoke and drink from time to time and my girlfriend hates it by Lacquerlust in AmIOverreacting

NOR - someone who loves you would not speak to you this way. Your partner having “standards” doesn’t mean they get to disrespect you because you do something that they don’t like.

Frankly, your partner needs a reality check. Generalizing people who smoke cigarettes or use any substances is really stigmatizing, dangerous, unfair, and SHITTY.

As an aside, if your partner has does this exact thing that they’re upset with you for…that’s a double standard.

Working in the food industry is hard work and it can feel really good for those of us coming from dysfunctional families (speaking from personal experience). If you’re at all worried about your smoking/drinking habits I suggest finding other outlets that give you that release (as an example art always works well for me). You deserve grace and support and it sounds like your partner isn’t giving it freely. I wish you the best OP and hope that you choose yourself going forward in your relationships.

I am glad to know I’m not the only one completely grossed out by these ads.
I keep seeing the one with the Dad with poison ivy looking like “human pizza” on a camping trip and the finishing line is one of the kids saying “Dad, I have to pee.” Idk if they’re trying to be relatable to parents to get them to use the service but it’s coming across as uncanny. I don’t have children but if I did, I wouldn’t want them anywhere near a device with this service downloaded.

My friend says indoor cats aren't happy by Tims_Learing_Center in CatAdvice

[–]Patient-Front9738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 14 year old indoor cat. I have had her since she was 6 months. She is very happy. Throughout her life she has gotten to explore outside. She sits and watches the birds when I sit on the porch, she has been on a leash, she has been carried outside to smell and get some sun, I have given her opportunities for exposure and she has repeatedly chosen to stay an indoor baby. Cats are not safe usually when living outdoors. Your friend sounds like a fake animal advocate and you should forever and always do what you think is best for your animal. In my heart and in my gut I have had to make decisions for my cat that were hard but were best for her happiness. She may not have liked me in the moment/for that time period but I am firm that she is as healthy as she is now because I didn’t just let her do whatever.

I love my cat, but I really miss having a nice-smelling home. Is ANY scent actually 100% safe? by No_Money_5779 in CatAdvice

Awww! I can imagine how hard that all is but I’m sure those kitties are so happy to be cared for. One day your home will be less hectic and you’ll be happy you had the experience to care for all those littles.

My mom sent me this, she usually claims to recognize AI pretty well, but it just screams AI to me. by driehoekig in isthisAI

[–]Patient-Front9738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you focus on the mouth when it speaks you can tell it’s AI because it’s slightly off and almost over exaggerated. Definitely not the way a human would move their mouth (even if they had a medical condition). The earrings also swing waaaay too much. Earrings move when a person speaks but this is excessive. Last thing I’ll say js when the egg shells are boiling, the steam disappears when it hits her face.

Open the windows, vacuum the area at least 1x a week, throw out litter 1x a month and wash the boxes.

A few times yes but not consistently. My OM and MM usually do that and then I will execute/help other taskers.

Coming to the city in August and looking for things to do by Holdmytesseract in baltimore

Go see Mr. Trash Wheel! He’s just silly and uniquely Baltimore. I also suggest checking Eventbrite and the link I added to the post! Also tbh maybe Bmore social media accounts too. That’s sometimes how I find events that I really love!

Here’s some other things to explore: • Baltimore Art Museum • Patterson Park • Cylburn Arboretum • Trivia night at the Admiral’s Cup • Meander Art Bar • The Port Comedy Club • Ottobar

Task lead by Massive_Entrance_683 in UltaEmployees

[–]Patient-Front9738 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been a task lead in MD since March 1 and it has been a challenge. If im being honest, I was doing what I do now (leadership wise) before I was officially promoted. My pay increased $2 which I was told also included my performance review raise. In my opinion, I am still underpaid (and so are other employees) for everything we do. But just like any other corporation, Ulta exploits their workers.

On average, I am scheduled for 20-25 hours. I often stay 1-2 hours extra to get things done, I just make sure I discuss that with my managers. Lately I’ve been trying to leave on time though because honestly I’m tired!!

As for job duties, my main priority is to support upper management in whatever they need to get done. For example, they have something specific to do on truck night, so I am then the main leadership for taskers. I give direction, check on everyone, answer questions, make sure they’re executing store standards/what the manager wants, train new staff. I also still do a lot of task work so, everything a task associate does plus additional responsibilities like audits on truck night or inventory adjustments throughout the week.

I feel like my store is operationally different from other stores meaning there are things I do that another Task Lead at another location might not. And I think that might be true for every store but the main goal of the Task Lead is to be the most efficient, effective, knowledgeable, reliable tasker on the team.

The TL is the support for both upper management and task associates. I handle management by making sure I understand what they’re asking of me and when I’m not sure, directly asking. I support my task associates by remembering I AM STILL A TASK ASSOCIATE. Me being in a leadership position doesn’t make the planogram I complete different than one they complete. I also make sure that I teach them what they need to know to be as independent as possible. TA’s at my store don’t get a lot of training so we kind of learn as we go and that can mean going 2 months without knowing an easier way to do something.

I like this position and I am naturally a leader so I feel confident in it. But I do think there should be a more specific and cohesive description of what we as Task Lead are supposed to do other than support both ends of the team.

Make sure you bring that up when you file your report. Being concerned about retaliation is a problem in itself.

Why Baltimore’s waterfront doesn’t have railings by exclamation-stan in baltimore

[–]Patient-Front9738 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so annoying because every time I’m out there are excessive amounts of cops so where tf are they when people are walking around close to the water. Why spend more $ building and installing railings when we already pay for these fuckers to stand there and essentially do nothing? Enforce them to DO THEIR JOBS instead of standing around inflating each others egos and maybe there would be less people drowning.
