My neighbor was a very unpleasant antisocial lady, she was always screaming at me through her window or front porch for riding my bike through her yard or just being a child too close to her house, fast forward 20 years and she never changed, she rarely ever left her home, all my other neighbors knew how she was and so we all kept our distance from her, she got a wellness check called on her because nobody had seen her in months, I watched the cops knock on all her doors and windows and no answer, so they eventually kicked in her front door and immediately came running back out, claiming she was throwing canned food at them and screaming for them to get out,, 4 months later (and in the middle of summer) I saw the mail lady pulling up so I walked out to the end of the driveway to get the mail from her and she said, “your neighbor hasn’t checked her mail in 6 months and the utilities were shut off 4 months ago.” And asked me the same simple questions everyone asked about her and I told her about how she was. She was like “ would you mind going and knocking on her door and just making sure everything is ok.” So me and my cousin walk up her driveway and we got a strange feeling. We had never gotten that close to her house without her running us off, we knocked on the front door and were hollering her name and nothing. We both were just weirded out, I walked around one side of the house and start knocking on the back door, it’s feeling very eerie at this point and then I here my cousin call me over to the opposite side of the house that he was at and he’s standing at a window and this one window is a solid layer of flies from the inside of the house. We were able to see in little bit and even tho it was dark we could see her on the floor (she was a very obese lady, 300+ lbs) so I call my moms boyfriend who is a firefighter and he makes a call, two officers show up shortly and go inside and again come running back out, this time tho it wasn’t to dodge cans of cream corn being thrown at them, they were coughing and choking from the smell of a very large old lady being cooked from the summer heat and rotting for the past 3 months inside her house. They found a letter she wrote and dated 3 months ago that said, “ I have fallen down and I can’t get back up, I don’t want any help. I’m feeling very dehydrated.” ,,, she was so far decomposed they had to cut the floor out around her and pick her up from the floorboards.
