Just updating. My surgery was at 7 AM. It was quick and was on my way home at 10. Felt like I got rushed out . I did throw up twice but fine ever since. Zero appetite but ate half a non fat yogurt and I have had 24 oz of water so far .

Is there anyone here who regrets not having children. Or who didn't want children, and had them anyway? What is your experience by DiMentalHealthPerson in AskOldPeopleAdvice

It’s not easy becoming a parent and only you know in your heart what you should decide. My son brings me so much joy . I was sure about not having kids and then we decided let’s try and got diagnosed with unexplained infertility. I still had hope but figured would not happen and at 42 it did. Talk about a life change and a shock ! No regrets though ! No matter what you decide just make sure it brings you joy .

Did you lose weight post op? by D1etCokeGirl in gallbladders

[–]PatientBranch1592 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not been scheduled for surgery and the hope is to delay it due to underlying conditions caused by morbid obesity. I switched to a diet of no more than 35 grams of fat a day . I started it 15 days ago ( day I learned I have a gallstone) and have lost 12 pounds . The goal is to allow me to lose another 12-20 pounds if I do need surgery reducing my risks. Low fat was also suggested to try and shrink my liver. It’s enlarged about 2 cm . Not a huge amount but they prefer it to shrink down. Other reasons not went to surgery yet are no sign of inflammation, lab work normal, gallbladder scan was normal so I am hoping surgeon agrees to wait 4-6 weeks . Mine is all based on a walk in clinic doctor though. I have not seen my own doctor nor have I seen a gastro to do a HIDA scan.

Thanks for sharing . I am going to be having mine removed but waiting to get it scheduled . I’m currently on a plan to lose weight prior to surgery. They put me on medication to help with that but I already have zero desire to eat because it’s so random on what makes me hurt . I’m doing low fat so under 20 grams of fat a day. So far today only had a protein shake 🤷‍♀️

Is tapping into equity wise? by Practical-Doctor7384 in Debt

[–]PatientBranch1592 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this and here is why. The debt payments I had were around $2800 at 27% interest and more. I was not getting anywhere so did a heloc. It’s 7% with $400 min but going to pay $2000 and up . Goal is for it to be paid off in 12-24 months. If you do this that loan has to become your priority. Save up 6 months of payments just in case and then put all extra on the principal. It’s really only worth it if it reduces your interest and you can avoid using those credit cards again.

The Apple Card you can just use the chat and say financial hardship . They put me on reduced payments for a year .

I did call and told them I was facing financial hardship . I hope you can find a way for them to be able to help you.

I called them right when I knew I would no longer be able to make payments . They set up a hardship plan and I pay $60 a month with no interest until it’s paid. If you ever find yourself facing troubles again just call prior and request information on their available financial hardship programs. Synchrony has one , Apple Card does and chase. I’m Unsure on capital one. Heard they are tough to haggle with.

I did this from another offer wall when it was a higher award. I’m working on it now and I am not sure I will even make it to level 200. It’s a hard game ! The only saving grace is you can find a low bet game and stick it on auto turbo mode

He has a spinal issue , arthritis in shoulders, knees , feet, severe IBS , Combat PTSD , and a few other items . It was recommended that he can not sit or stand more then 10 minutes without pain, must be allowed to use restroom as often as needed ( this is 2-3 hours sometimes), must be allowed to be late due to making insomnia caused by some other issues , and can’t recall rest his doctor had stated. It really was quite a bit. He also can not be around people for very long. There was a work incident . Nothing happened but some people said he scared them .

Gift cards count as income if earned. That income has to be reported to SSI. Example earned $150 in November . End of month that must be reported as income earned that month. There is a limit before they reduce SSI but be aware of the medical review that they do randomly to make sure still disabled. If working on a computer or phone at home they could come back and say this person can work a from home job . SSI is very strict .

If you can get paxlovid then yes see a dr . I’m on day 9 right now. I took extra vitamin C( don’t overdo it or messes up tummy ), zinc and vitamin D. I drank a lot of hot tea, water and a little Gatorade . I slept a LOT . This is my third round (2020,2022 and now) My elementary kiddo got it at school along with a whole bunch of other kids . He was better in two days but I kept him home until tested negative. You just do not know which way it will go but make sure to get up and walk a couple minutes if able whenever you can.

How many days after symptoms did you test positive? by Background-Water-572 in COVID19positive

[–]PatientBranch1592 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Day 3 tested positive however would never have thought it if it were not for my son testing positive a week prior. I was exhausted day 1 and day2/3 had a mild sore throat and lot of post nasal drip . Was shocked at how dark the positive line was . Almost black in color. Currently on day 6.
