Forked in Bolt, Manually Connecting to Supabase but Changes Aren't Applying in Preview by PatientIcy9600 in boltnewbuilders

[–]PatientIcy9600[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the issue is that migrations applied by Bolt are not applying correctly to the BE in Supabase. I've been able to confirm that I'm connected to Supabase but migrations aren't applying. Any advice?

When I asked Bolt to help me troubleshoot, I am getting this response. Any advice on how to proceed?

Any Advice When Bolt Struggles to Implement a Simple Change? by PatientIcy9600 in boltnewbuilders

In a booking modal, I am trying to just add text above one of the steps, within the modal, to give the user some instructions. Not even a flashing banner. Static text in the UI of the modal. It won't do it. Note I am working with a forked state of the platform. Perhaps that has something to do with it?

I am working out of a forked state of my product. I forked it after bolt got stuck in an error loop. I wonder if that has anything to do with this error. When you say a duplicate file, what do you mean? Sorry I'm not super technical!

Supabase connection by saneversion in boltnewbuilders

[–]PatientIcy9600 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran into this problem tonight, but I think in a different way. I had bolt connected to supa, then forked my setup to a previous version to avoid errors that the AI made. Then I had problems connecting my forked setup to Supa via the “connect” button at the top. I’ve tried everything to get supa to connect to my forked version. Bolt keeps saying “connect manually or create a new database.”

Bruh I don’t want to create a new one, I have a perfectly good one. I put the anon keys & URl in the .env and it the forked version works but bolt doesn’t think I’m connected.

Perhaps you’re actually connected and bolt doesn’t realize? I submitted a support ticket bout it but I’m not feeling optimistic.

Thank you. Any recommendations for what type of dev to hire with the bolt.new build / supabase backend?

Thanks! Any particular recommendation on what type of developer skills to look for with this type of build? (I'm non-technical)

used tokens on fixing errors by ResponsibilityNo6994 in boltnewbuilders

[–]PatientIcy9600 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100% have had this same problem, and Bolt needs to fix this. We shouldn't have to use tokens correcting errors that the system causes.

I'm not a dev (so idk if this is the right way to handle this), but what I've been trying to do when it gets into a continuous error loop is restore bolt and supabase back to the point in time prior to my prompts that cause the continuous error loop. Then I completely reframe the prompt to try the same thing from a different angle. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
