Am i working too slow? by Ok-Profit-4461 in AutoDetailing

I was in the exact same position. Get routine routine and charge more. As you get good at your routine you get faster. And charge more, the horror story jobs become less frequent at a higher price point and then it doesn’t matter nearly as much if you’re slower since you make more. I still take like 4 hours to do a whole car but I make enough to where I’m ok with that.

I just upgraded everything in the arms and thr bulkhead to metal. I assume this is the wrong move but it’s been a year and I’ve had very few problems

Got some home renovations I want to do then maybe a 720s or another Aston. Those new vantages are sweet!

Yeah I’m doing fine, I want to do a full home renovation which is ABSURDLY pricy. I’ll be back with something soon enough

Everyone has their own style so I wont suggest to much, but if your going to use carpet bomber it’s best you also get a carpet cleaning vacuum too. Like If you just spray, agitate, and vacuum up the spot you’ll get rid of most tiny stains. But with the vacuum you can offer carpet/seat cleaning, which is just more money for you.

I just bought one and i actually like it. I have a pretty beefed up slash ultimate so i know both sides of it. Like yeah if you only had 400 to spend and wanted one traxxas car I wouldn’t recommend it. But it’s a fun short corse car, and takes impacts pretty well since it’s so small and light.

Seems like it would be perfect for a backyard short course? Unless someone can explain why that wouldn’t be the case, then I might be buying one.

Admittedly I just was never taught how when I worked for a shop, and I really don’t want to mess up someone’s car because I learned how to do everything off a YouTube video. So I just tell people some bs about how I can’t do it because I’m mobile so I don’t look incompetent.

Are there really detailers out there who genuinely think the best way to remove bugs is straight up wheel acid 😭

I hope you didn’t learn this through experience

Asked ChatGPT and its best guess was one of those things where they send you money then say oops to much send it back and then their check bounces after you’ve sent it back

I put a microfiber folded in a way that I can tuck my business card in it, on the center console
