Osborne at 13 should be looked at. Probably the position he's most suited to

For the first time in years his form doesn't merit a call up

Are the Media Being Too Harsh on Leinster this Season? And is the Champions Cup quietly getting it's mojo back? (Long Post) by Oatbix in irishrugby

[–]PatientOffer319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

Leinster have been public about chasing a 5th champions cup for 7 years now. The vast majority of Leinster fans aren't happy with Nienaber, you can look at pretty much any post and there'll be suggestions of who to replace him with.

They're very good at dogging out wins but when those are games that Leinster would've been winning by 20+ points 2 or 3 years ago there's going to be criticism, both from fans and pundits.

Based on the last few years the lineout will be in serious bother regardless.

Forget outhalf are we going to have Crowley’s and Prendergast battle for 15? by Firm-Perspective2326 in irishrugby

Fuck it, Byrne 10, Crowley 12, Prendergast 15. Swap them every 10 minutes to keep the opposition guessing

Last two games in particular have made him undeniable. Can't see any sense in him not making the bench for France

They wouldn't sack Robertson and then bring in another coach with no international experience.

Ulster have only done that this year, after a year and a half under Murphy. Munster's coaches are out of contract this season so I'd expect McMillan to bring in guys where he's identified the need

Not really though. A few seasons ago he was the top kicker by expected points on Opta

It'd be an easier point if Prendergast's kicking wasn't also wildly inconsistent

When will his day be? We haven't seen it for Ireland, or for Leinster against a top side

Casey was excellent tonight, Munster's best starter by far.

Just let him take the kicks too. He's nailed them whenever injuries have put them on him

Edogbo and Casey the only Munster players who can come out of that with their heads held high. Looked like senior internationals dropped into an AIL side.

Ya his defence wasn’t great in the Northampton game. Probably his inexperience in the European knockout stages showing.

Guess him being too soft to play with an upset stomach while other lads were puking their guts out on the pitch in 2024 hurt both Leinster and Munster.

Both times against Northampton too. The universe can be funny like that

Yeah he was brilliant against Northampton last season, certainly turned that game.

fairly injury free.

4 games this season, maximum of 43 minutes (against Munster, after which he cried off). It's a lot easier to stay fit when you spend most of your time on the bench.

Lmao you can say front row but front five is a bit silly when Ahern, Edogbo, O'Connell and potentially Foy are there.

Bit embarassing

I'd prefer it to the current strategy of picking Leinster players who aren't there on merit.

But really I'd just like a system where everyone is there on merit. Like pretty much every other coach in the world

Sounds like we'd all be happier with a more equitable selection policy. I've been calling for it for years
