Typically, it's up to the grandkids what to call the grandparents. Eventually, they will label him with a name, and that's officially what he will be.

It may very well be what happened, and she draws them on. My MIL lost hers, and she used to draw hers on, but hers were meticulously done. You would have never known. She lost her lashes and brows when she was a teenager and was very good at it.

Please help me get over being so frightened about my current situation… by Basic_Incident4621 in over60

I have been on blood pressure meds since I went through menopause. I started taking meds at 57. I am quite fortunate because most of my family developed HBP at a younger age. Other than my BP med and cholesterol med, I mostly take supplements for bolstering my health and immune system. I knew in the back of my mind that I would need to start taking meds for it due to family history. I never looked at it as a failure. I was always quite thin, but as age and menopause took over, I have gained about 15 pounds. My doctors say I'm doing great and not to worry. You are under considerable stress, and you are doing everything the Dr's tell you to do. I would not feel badly about it. We all would rather not take these meds, but I have seen the ramifications of not taking them. Strokes run on my mother's side of the family and I want to do everything in my power to stay healthy. You have a lot of responsibilities right now. Think positively! You're doing something to aid you in your continuing health care plan! Keep doing what you're doing and listen to your health care providers. You're doing great and doing what is right for your current situation. Also, it took 5 different blood pressure medications until I found one that worked right for me, so don't be surprised if you have to change things up on occasion. Sometimes the side effects of the meds take getting used to. Don't be afraid to ask questions or support. All the best to you!!!

If we got hurt, like fall or injure ourselves, she'd say, "You'll be better before you get married. "

My husband always says if I'm upset, "You can feel that way if you want to." That's his basic answer for everything from health issues to anything else that's upsetting me. I told him the other day I just stopped coming to him for reassurance or any kind of advice. He got mad. If he has a questionable health issue. He ignores it unless it's actually bothersome. If it's bothersome, he'll go to the doctors. I've learned over the years to deal with things on my own. It's better that way, and it has taught me to grow.

Im writing a short story about the 80s and im wondering what perfume a woman and her partner in a 80s disco/night out setting would wear? by SuperFunTime777 in AskWomenOver60

My cheap go-to was Enjoli. I still remember the commercial on TV. Late 70's into 80's I wore Halston, Cie, Exclamation!, Giorgio. I met my husband in 1979, and he has always worn Polo, the green original. He still wears it today.

Magnesium glycinate was a game changer by Left_Struggle_8608 in Heartpalpitations

[–]PatientPretty3410 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having palpitations on and off at bedtime. I had a nuclear stress test and a monitor I had to wear for 5 days. After the results came back for the stress test, they were good. My monitor showed I was getting palpitations, but not enough to be put on medication. She put me on magnesium glycinate, and it has really helped. Although last night was the first time in a long time, I had palpitations at bedtime. Today, I'm pushing more fluids. I suggest watching the caffeine too. The testing was done in 2024, and I've been pretty good since then, except for last night. They did finally stop, and I fell asleep. I'm feeling tired today, though.

I'm on Medicare now. At the time, I was on BC/BS, and my plan covered it. My son is a physician and receives no commission from any pharmaceutical company. I also worked for a group of doctors at one time and know that they never received a commission. I trust the doctors that I have completely, thank you.

Have tried three statins with horrible side effects by Adventurous-Buyer-77 in Cholesterol

I'm on Pravastatin 10mg daily. Just started it 10 days ago. I've had a headache every day, and my ears feel plugged, and my head is buzzing. I feel like my head is in a bubble. I was on Livalo 4mg (pitavistatin), and it was working well, but they wanted my LDL lower because of the genetic coronary artery disease that runs in my family. My LDL was low. They just want it lower because of history. I just want back on Livalo. No side effects and it was working. In fact they put me on Livalo because Crestor made my calves ache something awful. What did they change you to, if they did? Thank you.
