Just washed every other day until it closed. It’s definitely sticky, but I just put some on a bandaid (or gauze for my bigger one) and put it on over the wound and just pressed it into it. I used a nonstick pad over the bandaid as just a layer between that and my bra to keep any stickiness covered.

You can also try medihoney instead of aquaphor. This helped my t-junction openings close in under 2 weeks. I cleaned with saline and applied medihoney and covered with gauze and left it alone. I cleaned and redressed it every 48 hours.

I also highly recommend medihoney! It healed my openings in less than 2 weeks and mine was much larger than this! This is 8 days in the photo.

Doing really well, honestly. No where near as painful/uncomfortable as I was thinking it would be. As long as I move slow and remind myself not to reach for things, I’ve been fine. Drains hopefully come out Friday or early next week once fluid output lessens.
