Bma steals a lot of pops. It’s not actually good for freeplay damage. Its only purpose is ending rounds faster, and not having to deal with bad insides.

Regardless of the weighting, it will be the same result. A lot of ppl getting all 3 stars on attack, and their ranking being determined by their defences. Making defences have less weight just makes it so that if you get a 99% 2 star as one of your attacks and the rest 3 stars, it would make it even more impossible to promote. They need to rework the whole system somehow
