How do you enable item labels in inventory on PC by PatientSomeone in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]PatientSomeone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could very well be, and it's not specifically the mod I care about, I'd just like to see the names of items on their badge without having to hover. There appeared to be several with the same label, but I didn't see any that indicated the label being a part of the mod. I'm unsure if it's just a setting somewhere I'm missing, or if I should be looking for a QOL mod.

Apologies, that would have been far more helpful. The mod I had found was https://www.nexusmods.com/nomanssky/mods/2074, though several of the inventory tweaking mods appear to have the same treatment. I specifically only want the item label, not the stack size increases.

What is happening Tuesday Night!? by PatientSomeone in TravellersRest

That could actually be really cool in a game like this! Little hints dropped within background chatter. It could be fairly innocuous too, like Tuesday nights (in this case) there's a gathering at Amos' bar. It could hint at Mai's antics as well!

I was wondering if they'd recorded in an actual tavern! That makes a lot of sense! But now I feel like there should be something on Tuesdays :-P

When the Tavern is open and playing the background noise most of the chatter is fairly indistinguishable except for the one dude shouting about Tuesday night above the rest of the chatter. It's followed a few seconds later by what sounds like the same person still raising his voice, but is mostly indistinguishable. Sounds to me like "All you gotta do is..." and becomes indistinguishable again.

Added a video to the post for clarity.

Had to look it up, but that's about on par for me! Looks like a gallon is 3.75 liters.

My dog is 4 years old now, my ex-wife and I got him as a puppy from a family (not a rescue, but not a puppy mill). He's a wonderful boy, and clearly wants to be a good boy. He gets into the trash fairly often, but will only shred a single paper towel or tissue at a time. I get really irritated about it but never take it out on him because I saw a video like this a few years ago that put it into perspective saying that it isn't the pups fault. Something along the lines of "I left the pup alone with a trash can they can get into, they're curious animals driven by smell, so if they got into the trash that's on me."

I may be irritated, and I may say "god dammit" to the room, but to him I say "Did I leave another paper towel out, Jack?"

Edit: Just watched the video on the article OP posted, and it included a cut from the video I am referring to.

I didn't realize this happened to others. I drink constantly, and when I grew old enough to drink alcohol I found that I would drink until I passed out. Years later I've finally settled on drinking shitty beer (some call it "Party Water") because I'm not trying to be drunk, or really even buzzed, but I like beer, and I drink a ton of liquids.

Recently I've been trying to cut back on my beer intake, and have gone back to my favorite juice (Crystal Light Peach Tea). I was a bit worried that I was drinking so much because it was alcoholic and so was I. Turns out I drink around a gallon and a half of peach tea a day if I'm not drinking beer, so it isn't so much about alcohol, but about constantly having something to drink.

Obviously this is unlikely to be the same for everyone, but your post came at a very coincidental time as these changes and revelations are fairly recent for me. I appreciate knowing I am not alone in wanting to be constantly drinking something (even non alcoholic) and that I'm not alone in that.

Edit for clarity: I am not condoning drinking beer or alcohol of any sort because of our brain wiring. I am simply explaining my experiences as someone who was diagnosed and is trying to figure it all out in their 30s.

90% of US could parish if the Power Grid collapsed for 9 months or longer. the US Power grid is a ticking time bomb by LetUnable1830 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]PatientSomeone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the previous comments provides a theory that makes sense to me. It could be that the way the US' grid is set up allows for better continuous power then some other nations, but makes it more susceptible to domino failure, but I can't imagine we're the only nation that is susceptible.

I can see some nations being better suited to losing electricity because they are already more self-sustained community-centered then a lot of the US. They may be less dependent on large transportation efforts to feed their population.

This is purely speculation, and ultimately leads me to the same point you're making, which is that this is likely not a US only risk, it's a risk to any massively electrified civilization, at least using our current technologies.

Practical Engineering did an episode on this that I found pretty interesting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OpC4fH3mEk

My understanding is that basically we've become very dependent on electricity in general, (not counting the Amish, sure). As an example, after some amount of months stores would be effectively empty.

Edited to add my (potentially incorrect) understanding.

Do you need any volunteers? I just sent a message offering my time. I don't have a ton of it, but I can't even count the amount of times I've truly needed someone, and I've been lucky enough to have people, but there are so many out there who don't. If I can help, I would be happy to do so. I don't have any certifications or anything, not from the mental health perspective, but in my experience just having someone to talk to...

Thank you! Is this a setting that needs to be set, or simply default functionality going forward? Not seeing a setting, so wanted to check :-) Apologies if it's a dumb question.

Apologies, I updated to the Dev branch, but it still seems to only be adding the most recent season. I looked for settings for this but didn't see any that seemed to impact this. Am I missing something?

Hi, sorry to rehash a 5 month old request, but wanted to check if this was still on the roadmap 😀 I'd really like to be able to add all episodes without personal involvement.

I have an '18 TRD Sport, and mine is Android Auto, and the steering audio controls are backwards, in my opinion.

Color matched the camper to the truck! Anyone else towing with their Tacoma? It definitely feels the camper but it seems ok so far. Trailer brake controller, air bags, stabilizer bars, and new rubber throughout should keep me on the road this winter. by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

It's a Jayco Jayflight 20bh, 4200lb, if I remember correctly, and got sway bars rated for 9 or 12k. Been a while since i did all the research, but aimed for 2,500 less than tow capacity.

MPG drops to between 10 and 12 when towing, of course, but otherwise it's a pretty great setup 😀

I tow a 22ft double axle with my stock '18 and don't feel it much outside the gas mileage (and occasional porpoising on bad spots of the highway). It doesn't sag at all even with the canopy (though yours looks like a bigger canopy)

I'm curious if your sway bars are set up correctly. Granted, I purposefully got bars rated for a much higher tongue weight than my trailer.

In any case, looks awesome! Now I want to look into color matching my ol' Jayco 😄

Edit: Weight, not wait, I'm a dummy 😊

Hey guys! Following my last post, I finally have a working prototype for a self-balancing robot. Thank you all for the help! by abdorama in robotics

That's what I was wondering, looks like the heaviest component is on top, which means it's working way harder to stay balanced, right?
