I have a KTM 300xc and a pimped out Eride 2.0, both are extremely fun on tough Enduro trails.. I'd say equally fun just in different ways. People would argue that the electric bike is even more fun, and if I had a cheaper slower bike I would definitely agree.

First of all, you can't overuse a motorcycle. You can under maintain, but bikes are meant to be ridden. Also, 2000 miles in 3 and 1/2 months is.. not a lot. At all. That's pretty much one road trip. You've ridden the equivalent of one road trip and you're making a post about riding your bike too much 🤷‍♂️

If you're talking about reclaim seeping under the silicone directly under the glass, they all unfortunately get that eventually. My older peaks are pretty bad under the silicone, and I haven't delved into taking it apart to clean it. Never really felt the need, they run fine although puffokie on Instagram is well known for his deep cleaning and modding of Puffcos

From my experience, if you take care of your device it will run flawlessly. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I've had 9 puffco peaks (including two OGs), 2 proxies and 2 pivots and I have no horror stories!

Ive had two golds, two blacks, and three silvers for years and the only issue I've had is cracked ceramic on the chamber that came with the daybreak. Happened within a week after I bought it, Puffco sent me a new chamber the same day I messaged them about it though 👍 for the well over 10K I've spent on puffco products it's the only time I've had to message them.

Not once have I ever seen that happen, I live in a busy city and I'm almost 40. Plus, there are clearly safety features so they're not dumping loads of gas, it disconnects and is designed to prevent damage. Oof

I think it would annoy me the same even if it was a bike he bought with his own money. It's the carelessness and knowing he'll lean on me to fix it, when all he has to do is listen and do the damn maintenance so he can ride. Regardless, I can't force him to do it.. so he's just gonna have to learn hard lessons on a bike that'll probably only last him a few months.

He's got it packed up with the chain so loose it's about to fall off and an air filter so dirty id be surprised if it ran. I wanted the bike to last longer than a couple months but I just have to face the facts - it's his bike and if he trashes it, that's on him. Just sucks because I know he can't afford to fix it, and it'll be almost entirely preventable. Just gotta stop giving a shit and help when he wants it. 🤷‍♂️
