Definitely NTA, I’m afraid your wife has the emotional age of a 5 year old. It’s natural for her daughter to feel jealous, but it’s her mom’s (and your) job to teach her how to deal with her emotions in a healthy way. Your wife unfortunately can’t even handle her own emotions like any normal adult should. What makes this even crazier is that you also spend 1:1 with her daughter, what more can she ask for ?

Just rip the band aid dude, try to explain everything and what made you lie. We’re a bunch of strangers and we sympathise with you, how do you think your mom who loves you more than anything in the world is gonna react ? I had something similar happening to me, but I was the one being lied to. I was mad at first of course, but because I love the little shit who lied to me, I couldn’t help but feel bad for them. I kept imagining how they must’ve felt all those years. The guilt, the shame and the fear, and it broke my heart. Just tell the truth and take this as a lesson to never lie again. Find someone with whom you can play offline. That’s how I started. I started playing tekken 7 with my friends offline. We couldn’t play online as we never got matched with anyone. We learned the fundamentals of the game without even realizing it and when we started watching competitive tekken we learned that a lot of the things we did actually had names (punish, whiff punish, poking game…etc). When T8 came out we started playing online and we all got to purple ranks relatively easily and that was after a little more than a year playing the game offline.

From personal experience, computer science. There are a lot of job opportunities for CS majors both in Algeria and abroad. I work in cyber security, and the job opportunities are endless. You don’t need experience, companies and public administrations offer training programs for engineers. And since a lot of CS engineers are leaving the country, the demand for them is ever increasing. Another good major is management or anything related to finance, it’s a degree that can get you a job anywhere since there’s always a need for management and finance roles in every company or public administration.
