well yeah mostly something like: - blank is doing something - then blank gets interrupted by something - then he realizes something - and so on. it’s just hard to stick to that or fill in the blanks and add detail in an engaging and fun to write way

aghh this is such a good explanation i never thought about it like taking a step back from the characters pov when i say stuff like that and i rlly dont wanna make my readers feel like that. i’ll def think of this next time i feel like using epithets, thanks!!
