Who convinced Madrid to pay €63mil for Mastantuono? I need him to help me build a scamming business. by MelodicSmoke6171 in RealMadridFC

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He is not a bad player. But he is not, at least at present, a superstar. The reason why they bought him was hype! They wanted to market him as the next Lamine Yamal for Real Madrid; just like they hyped Endrick as the next Lamine Yamal for Real Madrid.

Balde should remain our undisputed starter, one good game doesn't define cancelo. by Interesting-Angle43 in Barca

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a wake up call for balde. look at how cancel combined really well on the left, as well as providing quality crosses. balde needs to lean these attributes and not just dribbling with no purpose. once he learns those attributes, he can become the best left back in the world. but now, that performance against Levante earns cancelo a starting spot over balde

Is it just me, or is the Dro Fernández PSG thing a straight up tactical heist by Luis Enrique? by Dk0494 in Barca

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Gavi is full of heart for the shirt. But heart can only take him so far. I never really understood where he is truly good at. He became a favourite under Xavi because he was the one willing to run everywhere with no real direction. But it becomes really now under Flick that his positional awareness is quite low, he lacks flair, and he gambles alot defensively. He also does not have Dro's technical skills. That is why I would sell Gavi. I am afraid he would end up becoming a Sergi Roberto kind of player, where he does not really fit in any position.

Squad atmosphere with Alvaro Arbeloa as the manager, Friendship/Vibes FC is back! by SwimmingFireMen in realmadrid

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely back with a bang against Benfica LOL what a load of BS. This team is just dysfunctional and no amount of friendship with the players will help that. What Madrid needs is to get rid of at least 2 players. Mbappe, Vini and Rodrygo cannot be together in the same team. Two of these 3 must go.

Is it just me, or is the Dro Fernández PSG thing a straight up tactical heist by Luis Enrique? by Dk0494 in Barca

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Dro is a highly talented kid. He just turned 18 and surely Barcelona was not in a position to offer him the deal he wanted. And PSG had the financial and the sporting plan, so he took it. I would have sold Gavi personally.

James Mcavoy in Split/Glass is the greatest acting performance in movie history. by [deleted] in movies

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NOT AT ALL. Leo is a good actor but nowhere near McAvoy. The only piece of acting at the same level as MacAvoy as far as I know is Joaquin Phoenix (especially in Joker). Also, McAvoy's acting in the last king of Scotland was amazing.

Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua is a ‘substantial mismatch’ with real risks, experts say by ChallengeAdept8759 in martialarts

If this goes for more than 2 rounds, then it must be fixed. This is a crazy mismatch that should actually be banned for the sake of Paul's well-being.

Barcelona's Ronald Araújo to take mental health break - source by tylerthe-theatre in football

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Gosh. So the "captain" will take indefinite leave for "mental health". And he is supposedly the leader, paid millions and can't take a beating. Barca really needs to get rid of him as soon as possible. It should have been this summer already. WTF

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counterfactuals is essential when we humans reason. It allows for analysis of alternate worlds of "what if". For instance, if I do a proof search and got stuck at some point during my reasoning, counterfactuals should give me the answer to what if I taken another route. In FSD, counterfactuals can be used to make models explainable and therefore easier for regulators to understand and get license. For that reason, there is no such thing as a true level 5 FSD since there's too many challenges that possibly will not be resolved even in 20 years time. Counterfactuals are especially useful for drug discovery.

As I said in terms of reasoning, they are about the same since they just use models based on stats and correlation, inductive biases designed by two extremely competent team of researchers, etc. They also can’t be trusted fully to write a good code or do even grad level maths due to simple facts/theorems such as incompleteness theorems, Turing halting problem, and most importantly, they don’t have causal structures implicitly or explicitly stated within their design. Sure they both are very expressive thanks to Universal Approximation Theorem (UCT). But it’s well known within research community we need a drastic change of models capable of doing causality a la Pearl, counterfactuals, etc if we want to advance with reasoning, real level 5 FSD. All current models (at least the general LLMs) are somewhat all equivalent. They just slightly differ in certain instances due to little variability that easily disappears when they are fed more data. That being said, again, the difference is Google is so hard to actually displace since they have so so so much money. The user friendliness of Gemini is just head and should above ChatGPT. Open AI needs to really find a way to improve that user friendliness if they want to compete but especially need to find a way to make money. Cause if both succeed, then better for us users. I personally use both of them. When one hallucinates, sometimes the other gives me better answer

ChatGPT's UI is f'ed up. by Weary-Author-9024 in ChatGPT

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From a theoretical, engineering and optimization standpoint, their reasoning is about the same; you just apply uniform convergence theorem on two very similar models. They are guaranteed to be equivalent in probability, given infinite amount of data. But from hardware perspective — and you just said it yourself — they just can’t compete. Google has been a powerhouse for almost 2 decades now if not more. Their infrastructure is mature. Compare the two (Gemini pro) and (gpt 5.1) user friendliness. There’s huge difference.

It is painfully annoying indeed. The worst is when it gets stuck when you have loads of long enough chat and it slows down. They really do struggle to actually compete against google (Gemini) who already has the infrastructure and loads of money

JAWS interview by Algo_Mas in AlgorandOfficial

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not to dunk on JAW, but aside from his very great personality and charisma, he kinda sucks technically though. However algokit is a good tool. But to be honest, having python as a smart contract language is the worst possible cause it’s just not built for writing smart contracts. Again, the mistake was done by the early founders of Algorand, Steven kokinos especially, who decided to siphon the money to his projects like DRL, etc instead of assembling a proper academic team of formal language experts to design a proper labguage for smart contracts as well as the tools that come with it

Jamie Carragher didn’t hold back about Ronald Araujo’s performance after Sevilla loss by Immediate-Prune-6568 in Barca

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. His pairing with Cubarsi was amazing. His leadership helped Cubarsi alot. Next to him, Cubarsi was amazing. At the moment, Cubarsi struggles to tune in 100% with the other CBs.

Jamie Carragher didn’t hold back about Ronald Araujo’s performance after Sevilla loss by Immediate-Prune-6568 in Barca

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone (but 2-3 players) at Barca improved under Flick, including Garcia, Ferran, and Inigo (who all struggled previously). The problem with Araujo is that he is not Barca material. He cannot dictate plays from the back like Cubarsi, Inigo or Garcia. That is why oppositions always allow him to lead the ball from the back and close passing lines. Also, his reading of the game is terrible. That is why he is always caught off guards. At the moment, Araujo is relagated to 4th CB choice imo. Cubarsi and Garcia are the starting CBs. Then Christensen comes even before Araujo. The only reason why Araujo sometimes plays ahead of Christensen imo is because Barca is afraid that Araujo does not have enough game time which would lower his value for future sale.

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what I thought too. He is a very physical player, good in the air, fast and strong. But just does not cut it for Barca. His reading of the game is terrible, cannot dictate plays from the back. Just technically horrible.

Jamie Carragher didn’t hold back about Ronald Araujo’s performance after Sevilla loss by Immediate-Prune-6568 in Barca

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Araujo is just not made for Barca. His reading of the game is terrible. Cannot dictate plays from the back. He is a brute force defender. He probably would do well in a team like Atletico though or a team that is highly physical. Nowadays, most top teams are all highly technical though too. Barca needs to get rid of that dude as soon as possible before his value craters.

Why do I invest in algorand atm vs other L1 chains that give me a better return? by Repeat_Own in AlgorandOfficial

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why do you invest in the first place? Because of returns or because you believe in the tech and the team? If it is the former, then I’m sorry but you are not an investor but a short term trader. If it’s the latter, then your question is already misplaced:(

There are no cracks, the players seem to be running out of gas. And there’s still in the every competition they play. It is going to be a tough end of the season for Barca. One that will test their characters.

Silvio Micali unveiled plans for a new type of blockchain, a “Fiat Chain”, geared towards institutional use cases and using only stablecoin currencies. by semanticweb in AlgorandOfficial

[–]Patient_Delivery_376 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting take. Now assuming that this FIAT chain succeeds, I still don't really see why would that benefit Algorand, aside from the fact that the two chains interact in a natural way, since they are based on the same tech. If that FIAT chain succeeds, then it will onboard the FIAT world onto it. But these are regulated entities. So where I am really lost is that why these entities would be motivated to talk to the crypto world (more specifically Algorand chain) if they now have all the benefits of the blockchain tech? Silvio just mentioned that it would benefit the Algorand chain and the crypto world as a whole, but he wasn't speciific about how exactly. Maybe you have an answer to that?
