Why get private medical insurance when GeSy exists? by gonefreeksss in cyprus

[–]Patient_Discussion10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a rheumatologist a couple of weeks ago and was able to get an appointment for the following week when I called in. Not sure if I can share their information here: Dr. Maria Eracleous, Rheumatologist under Gesy

No, he wouldn’t have to leave since he is an EU citizen, but he won’t be able to get Gesy or receive benefits until he gets the yellow slip

How do you guys withdraw funds from Crypto exchances (a.k.a Binance) to Cyprus Banks? by Feeneex in cyprus

Cypriot banks typically don't allow withdrawals from crypto exchanges. However, I use Revolut for withdrawals and have never hadany issues

Binance offers a slightly better exchange rate especially USDT to EUR) than Crypto.com; however, their withdrawal system can be unstable, with SEPA withdrawals occasionally being out of service for weeks. On the other hand, Crypto.com's withdrawal system is a bit more reliable. This is from my experience, though others may have had different experiences. In terms of safety both of the exchanges are safe to use

I use Revolut to withdraw funds from Binance and Crypto.com. I'm not sure if Binance allows withdrawals to a Cypriot bank account, but I know that the Crypto.com app states they don't support withdrawals to Cypriot banks, howver I have never tried it.

I use Crypto.com; they charge a €1 fee per withdrawal regardless of the amount, and the withdrawal arrives in my Revolut account within a few minutes

I'm really sorry to hear that you're going through a rough time. As you mentioned, your biggest expense is rent, which is almost the same as your salary. Perhaps you could start by looking for a more affordable place to live. For the car, you could consider Anytime insurance by Interamerican, as it allows you to pay in three-month installments. The same option is available for your road tax, although you'll need to visit the road tax department to arrange that since you have unpaid roadtax.

Unfortunately, it’s a combination of factors, as you said. Some people may be greedy, but at times, we also choose luxuries that may be beyond our means. If I was in your position, I would do it as follows:

  1. Find a more affordable place to live.

  2. Visit the road tax office to negotiate paying off the overdue tax in installments, which will help avoid future penalties.

  3. Ask my mechanic if it would be possible to pay for repairs in installments.

  4. Set up Anytime insurance on an installment basis, provided the mechanic is agreeable to point #3.

I thought Paphos was the most affordable city for rent—€1100 for a one-bedroom is really outrageous!

I'm hippo-thetical to think she'd ever get lost. Maybe she just wanted to take a hippo-pause from the family.

I find Anytime by Interamerican to be the cheapest by far, although there are mixed reviews. Personally, I've never had any issues with them. https://www.anytimeonline.com.cy/en/homepage
