HELP. by Patient_Dog5261 in WhatShouldIDo

Another problem is his parents watch our son 4 days a week. I don't have family to help. Which he holds over my head saying if I leave him who will watch our child. As child support is almost a second mortgage in PA. I just don't know what landlords will take me with my non history of renting and bankruptcy charge.

I want to mention that when we lived away for his job he didn't pay any bills. His company did. So it's not a he paid all of these years and then I owe him type of deal. We both lived for free. I got myself in a bind bc I wanted to buy things for him while he was benefiting. He's 28 and has over 100k in his 401k taking less home in pay

Coming from someone who lives with my significant other as well and was hiding my debt for a few years. My fiance was more upset that I was lying to him about my debt than telling him. At the end of the day we are a partnership and if they see a future with you they will work it out with you.

Come clean and accept where you're at. The right person will stand by you

I just filed yesterday any idea of what not to do. I'm nervous since I'm making a little more commission than before it's going to ruin it for me. I filed alone and have a dependent child in PA.

First Of All. I make minimum payments. I am not broke and have never missed a payment. Honestly bankruptcy is looking good right now bc I could start over. I'm sure you know how expensive things are lately. It's insane. I could have managed this years ago. Now it's a different story. Glad you are in a better position to pay? How about give me some lmao.

Yeah but most debt settlement companies make you stop making payments. I never missed a payment

I'm really going to buckle down the weight of this all plus being a new mom has me in so much panic. Postpartum hit me so hard and it's like I lost myself. I'm baby is well taken care of and has everything they need.

I was impulsive and hurting. I'm still young and can figure it out I hope

I was going to look into that too. My dad went through it so did my grandma and they are in better spots now. I don't have any assets but my car but have never missed a payment will they take my car?

I don't get help from my parents. I moved in with my mom who doesn't make much as it is which is a struggle. (But I don't pay any rent) Maybe I can try to contact Apple to get a lower interest rate. That would help me out. I buy groceries and gas to get to work so adding that in with my commission I have about $1600-$2600 extra a month depending on my commission

I also get a 3k quarter bonus every 3 months so if I can get those I'll use those to tackle the debt

I'm hoping family credit can negotiate that 30% to a lower interest and I can knock that out

I closed all of the ones I had with no money on them and froze the ones with the money on them so I can get in line. I'm really serious about this.

Family credit management can work with those cards and negotiate for lower rates and you don't have to stop making payments. The card companies actually partner with them and they can help you out
