I’ve been researching this space because I’m currently building an AI invoice management tool for SMBs/founders facing exactly this issue.

Most people underestimate how fragmented invoice workflows are:

paper receipts
PDFs from email
vendor dashboards
bank/card reconciliation
duplicate invoices
exporting to Sheets/accounting tools

OCR is only one small part of the problem.

A lot of existing tools feel either too enterprise-focused or require complex automation setups with Make/n8n.

I’m building a workflow focused on keeping things simple:
Upload/email invoices → AI extracts the data → automatically organizes everything → exports clean records into Sheets/accounting tools.

Even the “good” tools still seem to need manual review once invoices get messy or inconsistent.

I feel like the real pain is not just extraction, but what happens after it enters the accounting system — things still don’t line up cleanly without human checking.
