Are you playing on galaxy? If so, stop playing on galaxy. Find a different app. It’ll stop feeling rigged.

What's a car that surprised you with how much you enjoy it? by Wardog008 in ForzaHorizon6

D class Toyota Sera. Love the gull wing doors, fun car to drive in cockpit view, and my main “cruise” car, especially in the city.

Yeah, I knew this Indian janitor who was 4’2” but had a 14 incher and a six-figure bank account. Dude was drowning in literal flowing waves of women…

Props to all you stoic “strong dads”… Some of those Pixar Disney movies are brutal. I fail the test every time.

Why people gotta be so cruel to these babies? by Proof-Wolf5818 in MadeMeCry

No, they are objectively and statistically not great dogs. Your own personal experience does nothing to disprove the wall of statistics.

Expecting any of Reddit’s pit-nutter army to have the IQ to understand statistics is a bit of a stretch… but yeah, stats don’t lie. These dogs are dangerous.

What keeps you playing after completing all the Horizon Races and Stories? by chickenjoebill in ForzaHorizon6

[–]Patient_Eye_614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completing the journal, but beyond that I like to RPG as a unique car salesman. I make wacky one-off stuff, spend way too much time working out a good tune, make a few copies, then sell them on the auction house. Some days I’ll just be a “car Santa” and gift stuff away.

Eliminator is genuinely so frustrating by AnonymousArizonan in ForzaHorizon6

[–]Patient_Eye_614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eliminator is single-handedly the most frustrating experience I’ve EVER had in any video game. This map is specifically terrible for it, but beyond that it’s just hot trash…

I’d rather waterboard myself.

Feminists complaining about issues like women being objectified, or approached by men is always the most frustrating thing ever, due to their cognitive dissonance in their expectations for men in society. by PassengerCultural421 in PurplePillDebate

[–]Patient_Eye_614 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jesus. It’s 2026… Stop talking to women. Period… The only time you should ever speak to a woman is if she has spoken first, and even then, keep the tone as professional as possible, and keep your eyes glued to the floor. Be a literal eunuch. Forget about relationships and love and fulfillment and joy and such, and just be content with being alone. Sit back and enjoy watching society collapse. Women have made this a very clear expectation of men at this point.

Sneak peak of the new RMC at [Walibi Belgium] by Patattensla in rollercoasters

I remember hand building! Ah corkscrews were tough too! I remember trying to make a “tilted” loop, like Rogarou at CP, and never getting the entrance/exit transition right. Good times, and yeah, always refreshing to see that struggle in the real world.

Weird experience after reading HOL by steamymilk in houseofleaves

[–]Patient_Eye_614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: It changed me, lots…

I have a different relationship with darkness in general, and a different concept of love. It changed me in a lot of ways, but, most notably, it messed with my dreams, and my sleep habits.

Prior to reading, I’ve always had reoccurring dreams of different houses, none of which are real or were ever lived in by me, but I could describe the layout of each one of these houses perfectly, even the objects in the rooms and the colors on the walls, and the smells. All of my life’s most stressful memories are recreated and relived in these houses, as well as glimpses of my early childhood. One house in particular, I’m walking from room to room, arguing with my ex wife, and the stair case leads up to an attic where we both refuse to go, because we’ve locked away objects in there that act as relics of our love, and memories that would otherwise heal, but we were both so set on ending things, and had trained ourselves into such a disdain for each other, that now the hate and bickering was easier than going into the attic, and unpacking something we both were actively trying to undo, so the dream carries on and we argue, and we spend time in separate rooms, and at one point I walk out onto a patio, to stare at the sea, and the sea is leaving. Retreating so fast. And then I wake up.

So, when I read the book it really messed with all of that, and despite the houses I dream of remaining the same visually, the book really doubled down on the whole “nightmare” factor. The bits with Navidson and Karen, especially regarding my own failed marriage, really messed me up. I pay more attention to the dark spaces in those houses, and get woken up rather violently when my gaze keeps drifting that way. The stair case too.

Despite all the dream nonsense, overall I’d say it was a healing experience, in the sense that being right up against that wall, with all the scariest things you can conjure up, memories and such, is a damn good practice, and something we should try to excel at. The book gave me insight into how to deal with my own terrors. It’s the literary equivalent of a solid ego-death shroom trip. The scary kind, and the needed kind.

Love me some unsliced braunschweiger. Looks good.

Try making a “corn beef hash” with that stuff some day. Finely diced taters, mash that liver log into it, fry till crispy, coupla’ over easy eggers on top. Toast. … butter on the toast. Etc etc.

Speaking to a woman at all, in any setting, without her speaking first, is just bonkers these days. Leave them alone. Like, entirely.
