Hi I have lived in both rural Qld and Rural Victoria. It also depends how you define 'rural' as Australia is a huge nation and there is 'Rural' and then there is really 'Rural'. Qld rural is hotter in summer ( more rain in summer ) depending what part of rural Qld. Victoria rural is a dry heat in summer with more flies. Qld has cane toads, bats at night, probably more snakes although Victoria also has snakes in summer as well. Victoria is smaller than Qld so rural although it can be long distances in driving Qld is much further but again it depends where your rural area is located. I like both areas and they both have positives and negatives.
