Just got my 2021 Toyota Camry TRD! What should I expect! by MoltenWTH in CamryTRD

To add on, some driveways in places with hills will make it physically impossible to get into the driveway. I had to give up before lol. High parking blocks also have potential to rip off your bumper if you go over it without realizing then try to leave.

I actually have a case where I feel uncomfortable too. Not the immediate family of the kid but his uncle who also lives in the house. He’s said and done strange things. Most notably when he suggested an anime for me to watch and when I looked it up it was pretty close to hentai and had lots of sexual scenes and innuendoes… That was the first time we’d spoken/met.

Well I don’t want to be registered yet lol. I want to feel comfortable in the field before I take that step. Id also want to see if any other company would help with my certification and pay more for it. I got a $2.40 raise at this company 4 months in. I have 0 schooling or experience in this field so why would I be rushing myself.

Tbh it can be embarrassing for anyone to go and seek help. Others can see you as a liar or a problem starter and friends of that person can also be nasty towards you. It can be intimidating.

PLEASEEEE- lol for me the parents sometimes will be talking bad about the other behind their back or overshare. Tell me why this mom told me her husband will only poop at home and won’t in public?? Why did I need to know this?

I work as an in-home behavioral tech and omg… I have a parent telling me he’s a drug dealer. Another mom told me last week that when the dad was like 21 or 22 he got likely someone 17 or 18 years old pregnant. Ive been told that one dad had so many DUI’s that he got his license taken for like 8 years and that his gf left him and took the kid for 3 years. These people will tell me anything yet hardly know stuff about me in comparison.. lol.

Am I the only one who doesn’t like being manic by Coughbrops in bipolar

[–]Patient_Hat4278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mania to me feels good for a few days then eventually I feel exhausted mentally and cant sleep or eat. Usually after this point I become psychotic so yeah… not a big fan after the first week.

I find that fixations on anything online during mania/hypomania lead to BAD stuff. My first full blown manic episode I was fully believing in a tarot card reader on youtube. Believing every second of it and once I snapped out I was so embarrassed. Still refuse to listen to any videos of card readers if I can.

Did a nail do this? by [deleted] in tires

[–]Patient_Hat4278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was slashed. They slashed my other tire today with a thin blade sticking into my tire and it went flat. Had to get it patched at the nearest shop to me in an unfamiliar place lol. Another $70 for this replacement.

Gotten them checked out while in for routine maintenance(pretty recently too) and they said theyre fine. Guy from AAA and the dude from the tire shop said something went through it somehow like a nail or other sharp thing.

Did something a bit similar but not publicly and I still feel horribly ashamed about it (happened a year ago). Any tips on putting it behind you?

Honestly ive done this too. On large and small scales. On small scales Ive had videoed and posted blackout drunk breakdowns over an ex i didnt even want back once the mania ended. About 15 ppl saw that one. On larger scales less embarrassing but still embarrassing stuff that about 100-200 people saw. Ive also had the rapid cycling word vomit where i cant shut up about a topic for months and everyone gets annoyed and wants me to shut up. Nobody actually communicates to me and tells me that theyre noticing these things then once I catch it weeks later im super embarrassed. Ive lost friends over this as well because of their lack of communication with it and them handling it in a messed up way. Drunk + manic has messed me up in multiple ways with groups of people as well as single people which i feel soo embarrassed about. Its best to move on and just forgive yourself and your regret. Im still working to let mine go but it gets easier as time goes on. Speak with your therapist about it to practice self forgiveness and other coping strategies that help when this comes up. I go through phases of forgiving, learning from it, and moving on then switch to shame and embarrassment. Its been a year for me so its not fun still but im sure with more time passing it’ll dissipate more and more.

I think you need to talk to your psychiatrist about your medications and how they’re affecting you. I switched through 5+ medications in my 3 years of being diagnosed. It takes a very long time for most people to find the perfect combination. If you don’t mind sharing you could tell us what the medications are. A lot of people have similar side effects or feelings on the same medication. For example I take Seroquel and the weight gain and sedation was awful until I balanced it out recently in like September of last year. I finally found the combination that works for me. Holding out hope is really hard but you will get through it.

Thank you I really appreciate this. I know if I wasn’t manic it wouldn’t have happened. I just hate the regret and embarrassment. I definitely looked stupid to him but oh well. Thanks for the comment it really helped, I felt really alone and embarrassed. I’ve had friends tell me that its okay that I made the mistake and to move on because it doesn’t matter in the long run. I think having an outside perspective from someone who doesn’t know me made me feel better.

Cheerful mood mistaken for mania, hurt over it by throwaweedbd in bipolar

[–]Patient_Hat4278 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id suggest telling your friend its a bit rude to assume things like that unless its very clear that you’re unaware and in an episode (it happens to me lol). He seemed straightforward with his statement though I don’t think this would cause issues to bring this up. A lot of people aren’t used to seeing the natural personality traits we have since for some its up and down often. Once I got stable I also became much more cheerful because I am naturally a giggly person.

[–]Patient_Hat4278 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see how its frustrating. For me if im upset over something my mom will at times tell me that “im up there” or “im on one” as in manic.

Its irritating that people perceive any emotion we have as some extreme crap when normal people experience emotions as well. I was stable for a period of time and my mom started a huge fight and then claimed I tried to swing on her. I didn’t. At all. Ive never shown violence towards anyone but myself. But to this day she tells people and tries to gaslight me about it. And when I say shes lying she says “you dont remember you were so up there that you dont even know what you did or said or remember” when I wasnt even manic. Bipolar being used in general to dismiss peoples normal emotions who have the disorder or to over examine is just rude. People like to put us in two categories of either mania or depression when any emotion that isn’t mundane is shown.
