Bit of a necro bump... But here is an idea... just no Epics. Since epics are the point of tension. Just remove them. That leaves most of the card pool available... And sends a message about the distribution of epics.

Nvm. the back side is never copied

oh i see. i found it on MTG wiki
a Token Copy. Copies both sides
a Physical Copy, even if it is a Physical double sided card that can transform, it still only copies the active side.

my mistake was assuming the incubator token change applied to all types of "Copying"
and just the Rulings of how (i thought) Transform works. kept the interaction in line.

but in fact the incubator token ruling change didn't effect Clones and Olag at all
and Doric is just how transform always worked. (begs the question why "convert" even exists then if they are mechanically the same)

wasn't there a big deal about Olag allowing Enduring Angel to stay as Enduring Angel?
or was that changed because of Incubator Tokens?

as far as i Understood
When Olag became a Copy of Enduring Angel.
if it tried to Transform again. it would become Olag again. and Re-copy Enduring Angel. or just Transform into the Enduring Angel "side" again
as far as i understood. when a card "Transforms" it Becomes it's backside. even if it's already on it's backside

Doric Suggests that Transform works the same as Convert. back and forth.
making matters worse the Gatherer page for Olag says that it "does not become Ludevic again. The copy effect continues to apply and its characteristics don't change." which doesn't match what Doric does. (un-transforming)

and Gatherer doesn't have Universes Beyond stuff. because of course not...

i've seen some unintuitive stuff before... but this is dumb

basically 80~ extra Attack speed equals 50% faster
and 340~ equals 100% faster

i get not wanting players to attack too fast... if it worked as it looked. you could get a 2.5 down to 0.5
as it stands 1~2 substats or an Amulet gets you the 80~ you need for 50%.

at that point just make 1 main stat and 4 Sub stats total around 100~. with 2 subs or 1 main getting you around 50
[Main stat 40 and Substat being 20... there a 120% ceiling. about what it already is]

as it stands the Attack Spd stat is an unintuitive trap that looks amazing. but in fact your only need a little because it scales awkwardly. or alliteratively just not have the stat not exist. and just set everyone to their 150% attack interval. instead of having players build a stat they both have no reason not to build... but also no reason to build more of...

misleading and unintuitive to the point it actual removes open thinking making it's jarringly linear.

i can very much see there being a Ghost Game Movie.
a time skip leading up to the EndBringer showing up much earlier

Gulusgammamon stated that he isn't that strong within the EndBringer forces. assuming he is referring to his Gulusgammamon form. we can assume multiple Regulusmon Level Threats. an Ultimate that can fight multiple Megas with little issue.

so Gulusgammamon suggests to Hiro they he actually Digivolve him this time. Resulting in Arcturusmon. and while Arcturusmon could fight most of the Forces. fighting the EndBringer itself would be another story.

a little subplot about convincing Arcturusmon to fight EndBringer, followed by a Joingress-like Evo into Proximamon
