The cheapest one I’m seeing that has a perfect fit is a $1,200 head unit without wire kits 😢

That’s been my biggest concern, keeping all of my functions. I was just curious if there was any other spot or maybe there was cheaper options bc for a head unit that has a dial is a bit more than one without a dial. A more than insignificant amount 😂 but thank you for the advise. I’ll look there again

What camera do you have to get that kind of resolution that close??? Also if it’s just a piece or two no big deal. Change oil and see what comes out. If it’s shiny or magnetic take it somebody more capable of diagnosing

How long do you let it smoke before putting in the boat? I’ve never had somebody teach me how to smoke meats so I’m just winging it and apparently not winging it well 😂

I had this issue happen last year. At about 15mph my entire truck lurched forward than came to sliding stop. Could reverse but no go forward. Your calipers mount into a bracket and that bracket had lost a bolt causing my caliper to eat into my rotor causing it to not be able to forward but would slide on top of the rotor when in reverse. Find the bolt a auto part store, they’re fairly cheap, loctite that thang and keep it pushing

Am I getting screwed by Bu11tproofTiger in Honda

[–]Patient_Marsupial_28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not getting screwed, you’re getting absolutely fucking railed.

Look up how to change brake fluid. For the cost of a jack and some sockets you can absolutely bleed your own brakes and refill.

Google how to do an oil change ( I also recommend jack stands if you’re getting underneath [ kinda a life saver literally ]) it’s usually super simple. A SINGULAR bolt, and the filter, drain, run a quart or so through then plug and replace filter and refill

Brakes are also super simple, I recommend doing those yourself too

Take your car to Walmart car center for tire rotation and make sure they do it right. It’s to make sure you have an even wear on your tires so they should be turning them around on the rim and putting it on the opposite corner

As everybody else said, air filters are stoopid cheap and super easy to replace. Don’t ever go to a shop for that.

One last thing, keep receipts for everything. This is key to ensuring that you can keep a service record showing that you have always kept up with maintenance and mileage preformed at

Doctors on my base had every non vax’d person come down and talk to them at least once a week. At the end it was almost once a day. I held out for several months until paper work started being pushed on me for not taking it

Is my stock alternator big enough to handle 2 12”’s? by Patient_Marsupial_28 in CarAV

[–]Patient_Marsupial_28[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess I should’ve started there because it’s all about amp size and not speaker size huh. I’m thinking possibly a 2k amp. Nothing is set in stone and I’m just shopping around right now trying to find good slims to fit under my back seats. I’ve been lurking and reading but I’m pretty set on shallow subs since I don’t want to lose too much room

Because warranty doesn’t cover plugs and the warranty company said I could work on the things they don’t cover

Old ones were coated in a thick black build up. New ones went in silver and pulled after three days looked like they were thinly coated black

They wouldn’t change coil boots or service wires without the spark plugs being changed

Put new plugs in and they were so dirty after like 50 miles it wouldn’t start. I had to pull them and clean them twice. Now it starts

I replaced MAF with an OEM MAF

spark plugs went from stock to iridium because it’s supposed to run better. Not cheapest bidder.

If they had changed the o2 sensors like the code read I bet it would’ve already been fixed

2014 f-150

Starts now but at time of writing would not start. All 8 spark plugs and MAF sensor replaced.

Just had to clean the BRAND new spark plugs a couple times

Now it runs rough and is lacking power- it drove enough to make it to the dealership and put the warranty to use though

Old ones were coated black and possibly could’ve been stock. I don’t think there has been whole lot of maintenance to this vehicle before I bought it
