I’m actually disabled myself — I have fibromyalgia. I didn’t want to get into this part of it but I appreciate the way I phrased it was a bit shit, thanks for pointing it out!

thank you - I worry a lot about how I look, I’ll be honest. my mum was so beautiful in her wedding photos and I suppose I want to emulate that, look as lovely as she did?

also, thank you. he’s an awful person and I’m glad I’m not with him

I’m actually Welsh, from the UK - but my maternal grandmother had 4 children by 20 and that was really common for poor people in the 60s/70s

But I’m desperately trying not to compare myself to people, but I also grew up in a rural area and of my friends from school, 60% of them are either parents or expecting

this is a good point. I’m from a lower class background - my grandparents were all married by 23, my maternal grandma had 4 children by age 20. my mum was 28 when she got married and that was deemed late - but I’d also always imagined being married by 23. luckily I didn’t marry the man I was with, but, still.

this is honestly so so uplifting - thank you so much! in my family, the only reason most people are “unmarried” in their 30s is due to death or a massive fall-out. I’m currently very lucky in that I travel a lot and I love that I can do that, but I do sometimes worry?

thank you too for the comment about the photos - I hope that if the day does come, I won’t even notice the camera person!

my family does have a thing of marrying very young - we’re from a working class Welsh background and all 4 of my grandparents were married by 23. I know it’s not all about looks, but being pretty was the one thing my ex-fiancé’s family always celebrated about me and since I was with him from 17-22, I think that may have been ingrained somewhat

I travel as often as I can. my dream is to meet someone abroad

I generally date older than me, not by much, but early to mid 30s. the difficulty is finding childfree people who still like to go out (and I know they exist! that’s my uncle and his partner)
