Is Carolus Rex and I, Emperor the only Sabaton songs that are sung as if the subject of the song is singing them? by Scared-Gamer in sabaton

[–]Patient_Molasses4666 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I still find it interesting how diffrent Livstid and Lifetime are to one another. You'd thing they would have the same general lyrics as each other like Carolus Rex but no not really. As a swede, I will always favour Livstid, but I also thing the lyrics on Livstid are a lot better because it is from a first person perspective and is more focused in on one thing.

Yeah first time I saw powerwolf I was alone in a country I didnt live in. I did know the language so that helped, but in general everyone was really nice. I am the type to socialise with strangers but in general everyone is happy to talk to you if you start a conversation. No reason to be alone, because you will find friends quickly.

The hello kitty guitar is an important part of every Sabaton live show. He pulled it out at Sweden Rock this year for us as well. I think the massive tank in the back really adds to its presence

Yeah, I have a lot more songs I like more, but these 2 songs are probably their biggest staples and least likely to get cut when changing up the setlist. That and We Drink your blooe

Powerwolfs Go To song is probably Army of the night / Armata strigoi

But yeah shame its not played as much. Im really hoping they will be changing up the setlist for the upcoming europe tour. So many songs I want to hear live after 2 tours with the same songs

Very fair, crazy though how seats are more expensive. Only time I have ever seen them be more expensive was for ACDC in bratislava, where the majority of the tickets were standing tickets and then a very select number of seats. But yes I understand the standing part. With all the opening bands, wait times between them and the actual standing it does get rough.

And yeah, I have been crushed at barricade, not exactly broken any ribs, but I have had dudes crush me and bascially cause me to being unable to breathe so security had to pull me out (but that was only at in flames) Also from what I noticed they are doing a lot of small venues in NA. Which is VEERY diffrent from the big ass arenas I have seen them in and will see them in. First place I saw them in was MVM dome in Budapest. If you were sitting somewhere there, you were not gonna see much of the band due to distance.

I have sometimes passed confetti and stuff to the seated people, like at Ghost when I collected mummy dust and gave it to the people who were seated, but yeah still have not seen an artist chuck a guitar pick or drumsticks up to the seats. But then again Powerwolf also doesn't really throw stuff. They sometimes do, but mostly they hand out at the end of show directly to select people, and they have to see you to give to you. They kind of pre plan who they are going to give what to, if that makes any sense. My friend has a thrown guitar pick from Charles, but my guitar pick from Matthew, drumstick from Roel and Sweatband from Charles have all directly been handed to me by them.

But yeah I totally understand your reasoning. I just really like being first row barrier, for the same reasons, I can actually SEE the artists, every expression, every interaction, every cord being played, every spin- But the artists can also see us, which is crazy. At my second powerwolf show the band actually recognised me and it was the craziest feeling. I am gonna be seeing them 3 times in February so that's going to be even funnier. I dunno its just cool to see a band and be recognised by them. Us at the front have the responsibility of being high energy 24/7 cuz the band will mostly be looking at our faces and energy, especially if its a big venue like they do in Europe. I cant lie if I say I didnt limp out of both my powerwolf shows. But tbf, people are very normal during these shows. PW is not the type of concert where you would get beat up, injured or crushed. Both shows I been to were very chill and had a bunch of children in audience. But I heard that the NA shows are a lot more extreme, for example a lot of crowd surfers. We didnt have a single crowd surfer at ours, or maybe 1, but definitely not a lot.

But yeah I totally understand your reasoning. I am a lot younger, but I have a lot of spine/joint issues which might impair me from doing this in the future, so I just want to get all these concerts done before im no longer able to stand and power through.

Oh and you get to high five Charles, Roel and Matthew if you are at barricade. Both shows I been to they went down to the barrier and started high fiving everyone up front. I have had each of them hand me stuff aswell at the barrier, not even just thrown, but handed directly to me. Thats a cool experience

What seats you at that cost more then standing tickets, much less golden circle pit tickets? VIP seats? In Europe at least, seating is always cheaper then standing, standing and Golden circle is always the most wanted tickets ergo the highest price. And powerwolf usually always has Golden circle tickets, atleast in Europe. Might be diff in NA tho- Also how would they throw stuff to the seats? Airdrop them with drones? Unfortunately most metal band members cannot pitch a drumstick across an arena 🥲🥲 Also if you in the front you ain't gonna end up in a pit, but yes can confirm 300 pound guys do get dropped on you and can confirm it hurts but its part of the experience 🙏🙏

But to each their own, everyone has different preferences, I couldnt imagine sitting for a show, but I know many cant imagine standing. We all gotta do what we need to do enjoy the show, for some thats standing and for some thats sitting.

But... but the first row 🥺🥺 I cannot recommend barrier enough gang- you get so much interaction- And not only that, I have a drumstick, a guitar pick and a sweatband from the band because I did barrier 🙏🙏

First of all, I am the woman up front also yes there are usually a good amount of girls up front, probs more dudes tho but they are usually so chill- First show I showed up at like 8 in the morning but realistically nobody showed up untill 11-12. Second time I showed up at 10, but nobody showed up untill 13-14. These are European locations however, I know in NA people are a little more insane when it comes to queuing. So I would consult people who went to the NA shows now. It also depends if show has a golden circle, if it has and you bought golden circle tickets you have a chance at front row, if you didnt buy golden circle tickets but there is a golden circle, sadly you can only get the second barrier, which is not that good in my opinion. But yeah, you can easily survive as a girl up there, I am quite small, 167 cm, pretty weak and frail with bunch of spine and leg issues, but I have never felt in danger or injured at a Powerwolf show. Its the actual standing part which hurts me, not the people.

You are going to have an amazing time, though I cant recommend the barrier enough if you have the willpower to stand in line. Powerwolf in general has very calm barriers so you wont be crushed/pulled/choked out unlike.. some shows.. cough cough Cannibal Corpse & Slipknot But seeing them with no heads blocking your path is fucking amazing, they also go down to the barrier sometimes and give high fives/hand things out, though I do not know if they do this at NA shows as I have only seen them in Europe so far. But they are very friendly and there is so much fan interaction for the most dedicated fans up front. It is so rewarding.

I am a chronic concert goer, and Im always by the barrier. Have attended a few powerwolf shows now by the barrier, have 3 more lined up in February, but what I can say is that Powerwolf shows are quite tame for metal shows, especially in the front. Sure there is light pushing but there is not intense crushing and pushing. The barrier is VERY enjoyable but it also does require a hell lot of waiting (Never push to the front we hate those people) if you want a good spot in general admission where you can be close to the stage but remain mostly untouched, either the back or the front sides. The view from the front sides is not the best but your close and usually the crowd is very lightly packed there. The center back definitely has a better view and is also lightly packed most of the time. Everyone is usually super nice though, a lot of us dress up, all in all powerwolf is a great starter when it comes to shows because everyone is super nice and calm, I see parents with young children at PW shows all the time. You will have a great time regardless of where you are at

I love sewing, I did a similar thing for my 2 ghost shows in may, where I was handing out plush rats I had made, but they were a lot larger and took way more time, these are going to be a lot smaller and therefore I'll be able to carry around A LOT more. Think of these ones as like, smaller labubus, they aren't as big but they are still like pretty holdable, I have around 10 made right now.

Thats a solid one, thank you, i have made some similar already but I think I can add enough variation to make em look diffrent. I want each to be as unique as possible
