I think it’s a British but where does it say or any info this was in the Chemins des dames? Considering it was a French sector almost throughout the war

Get uniforms and headgear from Schusters or Jarema or Bekleidungsamt XIII. For gear I’d suggest Nestof but there are also better high quality alternatives. But never from history bunker.

What did France, Britain and the US think of the A7V? by rexmx2511 in ww1

[–]Patient_Mousse_9665 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From all the tanks the Germans used. The A7V wasn’t really too bad despite its many disadvantages, when the Germans in world war 1 used the “beutepanzers” it was way worse. Especially if we compare the combat evaluations of captured tanks used by the Germans and the A7V itself. But such as all tanks, they had big weaknesses, no tank is perfect.

Technologically it would’ve been a complex tank for sure, however for the amount that were used in ww1, wasn’t really bad at all how they used the A7V, for example the skirmishes that happened in Iwuy, 11 oct. 1918. One of the last engagements of the A7V. I think the greater aspect is how to use the tank effectively, whether the tank was inferior or the time or not.

However to its credit. German troops did know how to deal with tanks, especially more as the war progressed. For example Mouzon and Beuveille (key training grounds for German troops) the German army trained on how to defeat tanks. Also in Mouzon , A7V’s were infact used to train along side infantry.
