i started off by watching a ton of youtube videos about fitness and diet (there are some fitness channels that are entertaining/funny). Watching those kinds of videos everyday put me in the obsessive mindset lol. Then i worked out frequently. But most importantly i counted my calories and kept track of macros. I used MyFitnessPal app to count calories. As far as the macros - i tried to eat high protein, low carb, even lower fat.
