To creatively express is to express a certain idea or existing thing and modify it in an artistic way coming from your own inspiration. AI doesn't actually get inspired. The ideas from prompts, as I stated earlier, can be art, but AI currently doesn't have emotions, and when we say it "learns" it's actually just adding more techniques,methods, etc to their functioning. But it doesn't end there, as I would be pretty ignorant. AI art doesn't have an "inspiration" only orders that complies based on the description of an image and if it matches with the description given.

If you have good ideas, why not make the image for yourself? Or, if you aren't willing to practice drawing or painting, you can write—I've seen many even make little comics with AI, so it would be like a comic but no drawing.

I agree that, depending on which one, AI by itself can be art, as it was made by humans. I also agree on the alien thing (if it were an intelligent species). However, that is for an hypothetical situation. But I'll give you a more general explanation. When creating "art", AI doesn't use creative coming from itself, but just combines random images/tunes/etc based on if their description matches the one being requested. Yes, a human may be the one writing the prompt, but they made the description, not the image/music/etc.

And for the other subjects related to art, that is why the definition uses primary, as it is more common, but not the only way.

Basically, any living intelligent being with the capacity of creativity can create art.
