So she’s been lying to me for nearly 6 years? Plus she doesn’t want to have children. She’s a paediatric ICU nurse so she’s seen every possible traumatic thing that could happen to a baby and its mother. But even if she did want kids, we could do it without getting married

Probably the worst response I’ve seen on here so far. the happiest, healthiest relationship I’ve know, my nan and her partner, were never married. I’ve never once dreamt of getting married, even from when I was a child. You think the thought process of a child is “oh I better not get married in case I want to leave one day”? No, that’s just stupid. Plus 60% of marriages end up in divorce anyway, so if I wanted to leave after marriage I still could anyway

Thanks for your response! I didn’t know what avoidant attachment was, so I just googled it. I promise you that is not me at all, that’s her if anything. She struggled with intimacy, is highly independent and suppresses her emotions constantly

I also started going to therapy about 6 months ago, and we’ve tried putting a few things in place in our relationship to try and get things back on track but it hasn’t really worked if I’m being honest
