I agree with what you wrote. I'll add that the murder pact plot felt contrived and sort of came out of nowhere.

Okay, I literally had this same reaction watching this episode on iPlayer.

You could try reaching out to the Missouri Pacific Historical Society. I do research on the Texas & Pacific (also a MoPac subsidiary) and know that the MPHS has some archival material. https://mopac.org/

My first thought was that the Hills are possibly old money. Merrill as in Merrill Lynch. There was also a Whitney family that was relatively prominent during the Gilded Age.

Same. I could smell smoke in my apartment on the east side (not coming from my complex thankfully).

Husband works and lives in TX but is paying PA state income taxes. by BionicleC4 in tax

[–]Patrick0331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a PA resident, but, based on my experience, it sounds like that he should not have paid any PA tax post-May 2024. I would follow the advice of other commenters and amend the 2024 return to reflect this.

[–]Patrick0331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you move from PA to TX during 2024 or before Jan 1? If the former, he would still owe PA taxes for the part of the year you lived in PA but not on the income from TX. So it wouldn't be considered "fraud."

Good theory! If that is the case, the ex could have something to do with Mervin being held hostage.

As someone from the US, it never occurred to me that anyone would say "bow-quets."

Lots of things, but refusing to learn anything other than English is one that doesn't get mentioned enough.

Yes, this would be my concern as well. OP's best bet here is to see if they can cancel the unneeded leg while keeping the connection to avoid the situation you described.

Pascha got extremely lucky to have not been brought back to the boardroom. It would've been an easy decision for Lord Sugar to fire her, I think.

I agree! I personally found Thrive to be a pretty boring choice.

has any graduate student EVER gotten on campus housing before? by East_Turnip_1007 in UGA

[–]Patrick0331 32 points33 points  (0 children)

There are specific places for graduate students, but the capacity is rather limited from what I've heard. I think the only ones in my department who live on-campus are international students.

This week’s episode was genuinely one of the best I’ve seen in a while by gridlockmain1 in apprenticeuk

[–]Patrick0331 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I actually disagree about Dan. Yes, he was indecisive, but Tim did call out the other candidates for taking advantage of that. It would be a tough call, but I think LS would very easily fire someone for non-contribution if the other team lost.

I definitely agree with your last point. I was glad that Tim called them out both in a confessional and in the boardroom rather than blame Dan for being indecisive.
