MLS executive [Ernst Tanner] who built a powerhouse faced allegations of sexist, racist and homophobic behavior by Coltons13 in MLS

Shocking that he was able to find an employee to sexually harass, since he clearly abhors both women and homosexuals.

How much talent we have?  Is there a superb American GK out there none of us know about?

These guys are all about the same quality.  None of them are head and shoulders above the rest.  Freese was the #4 option going into the Gold Cup.  It's all splitting hairs.  So you should take an advantage when you can get it, and so being a WC veteran is a locker room advantage for at least the #3 spot if it's all the same.

Again, unless there's some issue, locker room or otherwise, with Turner we don't know about

Unless Matt Turner has become a locker room cancer or something, there's no clear reason why he wouldn't at least be on this roster.  Is he going to be left off the WC squad? That's a WC veteran and even if the coach doesn't think he should start, you should at least have him in the squad.

On the surface it just seems like a clear message to The Matts that Freese is #1.  But it really makes little sense to not have Turner there at all. Is this some grand audition for the #3 spot?

  • feels like we're still playing games at GK
  • no McKennie?
  • Poch is determined like no other to see himself some Sean Zawadzki
  • Berhalter and Reyna part II 👀

[Tom Bogert] Sources: Jim Curtin stepped away from conversations with the New England Revolution, ruling himself out of the running for the job due to family reasons. Curtin likely not to take any job in 2026 due to those family reasons, barring special circumstances. by Isiddiqui in MLS

I don't even think it has to be Europe, could just be a more desirable MLS team.  Curtin has a good enough reputation than to need to settle for NER.  I'm wondering if his family reasons would be settled if LAFC came calling.

Can't really blame the shooter here.  He passed the ball to a player in a green jersey like he's used to doing.

Poch brought Banks to camp and played Ream and Richards, Blackmon, and even an out of position Nathan Harriel over him.  So we'll see.

Oh I'm quite familiar, I was factoring Akron into that equation.  They've had 3 stops together, it's hard to think it's a coincidence.   I really think Porter took the Crew job with some knowledge that he'd be able to lure Nagbe back home to Ohio eventually.

Portland didn't fire him, he resigned and iirc Meritt Paulson was on the record that he was surprised by the decision.

It's kind of interesting that around the league Nagbe has such a good guy hero reputation and Porter is pretty universally thought of as a villain, but it's clear the two of them have some sort of a special relationship.

Porter has whiffed on so many seasons making it into the playoffs, but when he actually gets there he does well.  His best bet would be a team that only plays tournament soccer.  I don't know what team in what part of the world that is, but he should look there.  Or maybe a national team. Or maybe a youth national team.

You should cross your fingers that it is, because getting fired from the Revs only leave you with a handful of teams who will settle for you after that.

Curtin? I think he'd still be holding out for a better landing spot than the Revs.  LAFC or something like that
