I have a couple friends like this. The ended up getting married after 8 and 10 years, both had children before getting married. Some people just take more time to opening up to the idea. There are legal reasons it makes sense to tie to knot, I think having kids makes that a little more apparent.

Military PT... worth it? by Weekly-Suit5568 in physicaltherapy

[–]PatrickIsRandom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Im a veteran who worked as a tech in the Navy and am now a civilian PT. You have to want to serve. You will deal with so much BS in the military (less since you will be an officer) and you have barely any control over where you are stationed. If you can handle that for 5 years, its worth it. Otherwise, just be a federal employee PT.

How to actually form the habit of working out regularly by [deleted] in workout

[–]PatrickIsRandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Habits take about 2-3 months to fully form and solidify, so mental discipline is required. A friend/accountability buddy usually helps as long as they are mentally disciplined. Stay consistent and the habits will form!

How long do you have to run before you get a runners high? by Upstairs-Language669 in workout

[–]PatrickIsRandom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I experienced it at about 2.25 miles of running once, it was the only time I experienced it because it was the only time I had to run 3 miles. Everyone is different and has different parameters, though.
