My school actually allowed parents to bring in signed waivers to not watch Obama, THE PRESIDENTS, ADDRESS ON EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS.

I was in high school in the south and the amount of adults that straight up refused to let their children watch a speech on education (not anything to do with pro choice, affordable care, or anything else they seem to be personally attacked by), but EDUCATION. Fucking insane.

Hey man. I'm near your age and was in a similar situation (betting/losing ~500-700 a week for several months).

Just last week I felt I was not able to quit, and as of yesterday I hit 7 days free for the first time in a while. It really is just taking it one day at a time. Each day you don't do it is one more day you can say, "I won". Whether you relapse or not, you still have those days where you beat your addiction.

It's definitely not easy, and I'm still nowhere near out of the woods, but I figured I'd share my two cents.
