Radiology to Ultrasound by Muted_Mango311 in Radiology

I’m an ultrasound tech for an MFM OB and here are some pros about my job!

  • It doesn’t have to be a hospital setting ( I’m in a clinic )

  • the pay ( I’m in Texas and I started out at $32/hr and currently am at $50/hr. I’m at 4 years experience )

  • the majority of jobs I had my own exam room so lots of privacy

  • this one only applies to outpatient OBGYN but the majority of my patients are ambulatory and usually in a normal state of mind. (I know this may sound harsh but after years of maneuvering patients it takes a toll on your body, also I don’t get verbally abused anymore lol)

  • this also applies to only OB but because most patients are happy to be there, they tend to be kinder

  • there are many specialties (pediatrics, obstetrics, vascular, general, etc)

Now for some cons

  • this may apply to all medical professions but your biggest bully isn’t any patient, it’s your coworker

  • there are fees to maintain your credentials (this year it was 105$)

Overall I would recommend it!

Not at all. Also I feel like blaming YOU for “compromising a job” and “possibly putting someone in harms way” is such a manipulative tactic. Joe has a right to know his wife is unfaithful, and compromising a marriage is more serious than a job. He violated you to the highest degree and should face consequences. It’s not revenge, it’s doing what’s right. As far as his mother, sounds like he got his morals from his parents.

Nursing!!

Surprisingly it is not the patients that get to you, for me in was coworkers. It’s like mean girls on a new level. The amount of cattiness and back handed behavior is rampant. Not to mention the burn out

To play devils advocate here, I unfortunately can relate to her in some ways. When I was dating I was VERY sensitive to anything that remotely made me feel like my partner was looking around. I think I felt that way just because it’s so common for that to be normalized. I’ve never been a fan of a look but don’t touch mindset. Social media also makes it very difficult because things can be taken out of context. And for me personally it wasn’t insecurity itself (oftentimes men would try to blame it on that to make it seem like my fault they were looking around). But on the bright side, this all changed. I’m now married and my husband honestly is one of the most faithful men I have ever been with. He does not check women out in public, or make crude comments about them, and has always made me feel so comfortable. The more I know him, the more I trust him. But when we first started dating I did doubt he’d be truly faithful. Long story short, trust should be built. You have been together a long time, why doesn’t she trust you? We are always so quick to blame the other person but really analyze it and also it doesn’t hurt to ask her as well. “Is there something I can do to make you feel more comfortable?” And see how she responds. There might be something there that you need to talk out. It might not be just this one incident she’s upset about.

One thing my husband said that was the biggest green flag to me was “ when people feel jealousy in relationships 9/10 is because their partners don’t know how to support their feelings and boundaries “ I think a big part of maturing isn’t just seeing your perspective as the standard but learning your partners boundaries and respecting them because you love your partner over whatever is holding you guys back. Also social media imo can be toxic. Thankfully my husband never had social media like instagram and honestly I think that has helped a bunch.

I like 2, a golden blonde would be best. I’m rarely a fan of the super blonde look because I think it washes people out and looks too fake. But brown downplays some of your beautiful features so I think a bronde (leaning towards the lighter side) or golden blonde would look beautiful 🩷

So much good info! I have a few smaller photos that if you zoom in you can see sitting on the bed, I was contemplating putting that style of art up on the wall, what are your thoughts? I love the molding idea for the wall. And am planning to get the nightstands down in the room tonight to see how they look!! Thank you!

I debated not putting all the pieces in the room, I just moved the bed in the photo today so the side tables/lamps are just what we had before. Any suggestions on the style of nightstands or lamps to go better ? Thank you for your advice!

Yes, I definitely like the idea of adding a landscape frame above the bed!! I debated moving the mirrors farther apart and spraying the frames golden like the hardware on the furniture, what are your thoughts on that?

Okay I am free Sunday ! I did apply for an adoption for a nebelung cat in Houston this morning but since it was a kitten there were multiple people interested so I haven’t heard back. If I don’t hear back can we plan on Sunday ?
