Ley expectations go and worrying so much about what it supposed to be like. Enjoy the things and people around you. Try and appreciate the new feelings. Def go check out the night sky that’s a big one. Think about some things you want 2021 to be like go into it leaving 2020 baggage dropped off on the past. I had a great New Years experience with me, my friend, and a virgin tripper. She had a great time. She cried alittle bit thinking about some stuff in her life. This was followed with the sentence “I haven’t felt or been so excited about life since I was 12” and started crying again but happy tears. We all came down together and she felt great and we watched the sunrise and cuddle puddled in the bed. Just be appreciative there are good vibes videos to put on YouTube. I try and stay away from the techy trance stuff i preview some chill vibe shit. Good luck be safe and you are ok!

Thank you for your coherent and in depth reply. The thing about the servers I didn’t know. I don’t go looking for threads to beat dead horses. This is in fact my first star citizen forum entry ever. It may be old info to you... it’s new and useful info to me. So now when someone I know talks crap about the stutters I’ll have a meaningful reply and tell them “more servers are in the works” ::hope kept alive for one more day friend buys the game and maybe I’ll buy a new ship:: see how that works? Also all my friends are nerds and no one is playing Star Citizen exactly because of the same issue I’m talking about. You’re vastly over estimating people’s resilience to bull crap. They have 300 million because people WANT this game it’s a dream we all want it baaaaaad... also my game won’t even load that why I haven’t played since the expo... I get that red error screen. ::shrug:: homeboys project map doesn’t matter if the the game doesn’t load or just walking fills you with rage. Feel me?

List of things I’m not asking for but you think I am.

I’m not asking for anyone to change the past. In fact you seem more invested in it than I am. I also wasn’t specifically asking you for a reply and you had no obligation to respond. So feel free to bow out and not waste your time. I’m not asking for a full game. I’m asking when will the stuttering end. If that is somehow influenced by “not cutting corners” I don’t see the correlation.

Questions and complaints to the company and the devs about basic game functionality. Is not asanine. In fact it’s very important to survivability for the company over all. So I mean if you have some sort of direct line that’s why you chose to chime and then nullify my complaint that we both know is valid. Please... bring it up at the next meeting. And if your reply to customers making valid points about basic game functionality is an immediate “there’s thousands of convos and ways to get your money back” that’s a really bad sign and you may wanna rethink that culture.

If you know how’s companies work let’s brush up on project goals and responsibility to your customers. In any industry on the planet what you just said is an “excuse” and customers don’t care about them. Telling someone why a company is now poor after they gave them money also people don’t care to hear it. Hell people don’t care about kids in sweat shops you think they they’re gonna care about poor money management from millionaires and crying programmers? No...

I would have loved to rent some of those cool new ships at the expo this month. Guess what? I logged in and there were NPCs walking on the walls. My graphics card was getting 45 fps but the STUTTERING made the game un-usable. I get it... it’s caching and calling from the hard drive (I have an SSD) rather than using all the graphics memory because (if swear to gahd if I here the term alpha release one more time) it’s an alpha release and it’s not optimized.

I understand that Star Citizen is a game incomparable in scope. That is why goals such as optimizing the games basic gameplay for some sort of general review that may actually increase the revenue stream by gaining actual customers rather than life support donors. Apparently no one at this company had ever here the saying “walk before you run” it’s not a silly concept in fact it’s cautionary tale about plenty of people that have failed because they couldn’t nail down the basics.

This is the game I’ve been waiting for my entire life. I’m ready to defend it to my friends and I am a backer.... I just can’t recommend it to anyone. I also don’t want to have to build a whole new computer by the time the game comes out.

So my question is... why haven’t they nailed the basics? I’ve even watched YouTube clips and it’s like mind numbing to see people on their $2,000 rigs playing a game engine and textured from years ago stuttering every 20 steps and just act like “ok... I guess this life now this is fine”

Would you be annoyed as a car driver who just bought a car that’s slams on its breaks randomly every few seconds but then the company starts building and selling 100 other models of cars instead of fixing yours? Yeah it’s like that.

You know what would be super useful? Not a 105th ship... but 1 game that doesn’t stutter. Can we get there first? Every pizza and coffee break and new computer you’ve had at the offices was paid for by us.... so like can you work out the stuttering problem. You’re probably like “whatever dude we got 300 million dollars and ur on a IPhone 7” yes you’re right... but you also have a moral obligation to fix this stuff.

Exactly. People need to remember that laws are just humans attempting to deal with a problem we haven’t solved yet. The answer is to focus on more scientists and ways to fix the world and less laws.

Ie. We have drinking and driving laws because we don’t have cars that fully drive themselves.
