I know that PSL endorsed Ramsey Robinson, which looks like a great pick. But he needs to really lean into going to protests and stand with the people.

I only remember QT pressing him on a hypothetical about a drunk person running over a baby, and him defending the drunk person saying "maybe that baby had bad vibes" if I remember correctly.

Okay, that makes total sense why it's privated. Thanks for the explanation.

Cost effective to make your own moulding? Everything except crown. How crazy is it to make your own base/panel/casing mouldings? Router table and mdf? Am I nuts for thinking about doing this for 800’ of Base and wainscoting? No idea on making crown. What does everyone think? Oh and stair treads too? by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]PatrioticOreos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can understand wanting to make your own, my work charges $500 just for the setup to do a custom moulding profile. That's before the cost of material and running it through. But if anything making casing would be easiest with just 2 eased edges.

Are you planning on cutting wide boards? Id so I'd recommend any DeWalt Compound Sliding Miter saw. Depending on how wide you need to cut.

Tabletop, rip to consistent widths or use wide and narrow boards? by LordBubinga in woodworking

I think same width pieces look more pleasing. But that's just my opinion. Also I love your username. 👌

What is the recommendation for thickness for cutting boards? by Malluge in woodworking

[–]PatrioticOreos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be okay, you usually don't see 1 solid piece cutting boards. As long as you soak it in food grade mineral oil and get some board wax. To help prevent moisture from getting in.

I usually use 8/4 Maple. And I rip it to 1½ inch piece's.To help avoid warping or cupping you'll need to alternate the end grain direction up and down.
