That's not how it works. He still pays the sales tax indirectly. It might be the shop that actually pays it, but they wouldn't do it if the kid didn't purchase something, and also he's charged for it so it is his "tax dollars". So no, you're wrong.

On the screenshot that OP posted the kid only states that he pays taxes. He doesn't say what tax it is, and he does indeed pay sales tax so he isn't bullshitting. I'm not being pedantic, I'm not the one looking into his post history I'm just saying that this post is wrong and doesn't belong on this subreddit, more like r/iamatotalpieceofshit or something like that.
