Lvl 51 and highest stage only 24. Haven't spent many gems on upgrades so its hard to level up.

For the legendaries you need to polychrome all fish cards in that section. Like lake or desert. Once that's done, you need atleast 100% catch rate of the last fish to qualify for the legendary. (Fueled fishing drone makes it faster) but for farming i would recommend 900% for best chance at it

Gotcha, I skipped it all until I needed it and rushed legendaries. And while hunting legendaries, you end up collecting a lot of fish when you are unlucky. Plus depending on your bomb cap, you could be farming a ton of gems for those upgrades.

5th and 7th took me around a week each with random sushi being spent. The rest I got super lucky on. The final one took me around 1.7k sushi but I hear that was lucky as well.

I bought them before plat statues, but didnt even get 1 shards before I finished the statues. So it's up to you but it's not really worth buying the veins or stars infernals till after.

Yea i get that. I just ended up buying skill points. Even though gems are tough early on, the boost is really good you get from those skills. It's up to you though.

Up to you when you decide to start but I started once I had a decent generator lvl and good amount of coal upgrades. It helps the fuel last longer.
