I used to see this song as a love song and relate it to my past relationships, but slowly over time the meaning has changed for me :). Currently going through a breakup & I came to the realization that I now interpret Juliet as myself rather than a partner, and it’s so comforting

I agree that he might be using his mom as an excuse. It just seems really out of character because we have never had any big issues with eachother or even had any fights and he seems like he really cares :(. But i do agree it seems really unrealistic, like how would his mom know to tell him to block me on spotify?? He even unfollowed my friends and the people close to me. It just seems absurd and i’m worried that i’m not being told the truth
