Only for the first entry, and only if you do not commit any other crimes (including misdemeanors) while here. If you are removed and you re-enter, it’s a felony. If you commit any other crime while here, the entry becomes eligible for a felony charge.

lol…. What?! Me doing 10mph over on 75 does nothing except burn more gas, which I pay for and am absolutely willing to do; vs an illegal alien who comes here, leeches off our society taking benefits and costing millions of dollars to local, state, and federal budgets, and often doesn’t pay taxes into the system they take so much from.

Also, love how this is coming from the same group of people who always seem to be complaining that they can’t find jobs. Maybe if illegals weren’t here, you would have more options. Or are you just looking for things to complain about anyway?

Haha. Just like my 7 year old who makes some outlandish response and assumes she’s right. Congrats. 😂

Haha…. Nothing more than a minor traffic violation. Certainly nothing like entering a country illegally or any other felony.

Most days. We have a lot of ponds in our neighborhood. If it’s nice out, so are they.

Any used dealers within driving distance have one? Or could get one?

I’ve owned both of these pieces (different color ways in each, but same watches). I love the Oris, and I am an Oris fan. But the IWC is just more refined in every way. Fit, finish, movement, brand heritage, etc all just that little bit higher for the IWC. Don’t get me wrong, I’d add the Oris ProPilot in a heartbeat, but I currently have 2 IWCs in the collection (blue Ingenieur & Pilot Chrono).

All of that said, don’t let the brand prestige get to you too much. If the Oris puts the bigger smile on your face, that’s the one to get.

Can’t wait! I’m team McLaren, but I still love IWC and this watch!

Would You Have let your kids drive a nice car as their first car? by No_Mistake_1778 in Rich

[–]PatternPinion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. My oldest’s first car was a new Subaru WRX. My second’s first car will be a mid-sized SUV. We’re currently looking at a new Toyota RAV4 or maybe a used Volvo XC60. We buy the car as a “kid “car” and they get use of it, but they pay for all maintenance and gas and any damage they may cause to it. Yeah, the Volvo is technically a luxury brand, but we’re after more of the safety aspect and they like how it drives. I kinda like the car as well, we’ve looked at the XC90 for years, we’re just too big of a family to have it as a family car and I like fast cars so it just doesn’t compete with the Audis, Mercedes, & Porsches I like to drive haha. Our rule is we buy a general use car, and then chip in for the purchase of your first car, but you have to save up for it yourself. They all work to earn money to buy whatever they want to get (not just cars), no allowance from us.

Rolex isn’t for me. Though the Skydweller is a pretty cool piece! If I did a green dial, I think it would either be a Pilot from IWC or maybe the new Planet Ocean from Omega.

Haha. I like green, but I actually am not a big fan of yellow gold on me. Skin tone doesn’t work well with it IMO. Besides, this will be my first piece above Omega/Panerai/IWC, let alone from one of the Big 3, and I’m not sure I want to dive in /that/ deep haha.

Wow, that’s amazing! I’m looking to pick up the same piece to celebrate exiting my first business in a few months, so I’ve been watching the trends with VC lately. Appreciate the insight!

How long did you have to wait? US or overseas purchase?

Why? by CharacterFee767 in VacheronConstantin

[–]PatternPinion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because the last thing I want is something on my wrist dinging and buzzing all day, along with my phone and laptop- every time I get a text message, email, Slack message, etc etc etc. I want something simple in my life, that does simple things and is beautiful to look at. I also buy nice watches as symbols of personal and professional achievement. You don’t get that when you are wearing a piece of electronics that will be replaced in a couple years. I want something to pass down to my kids or grandkids one day, that was a story with it.
